The Saturday market is a fun experience . You never know what you'll get. A great way to meet local artists. It's very lively, usually there is a band playing.

This was my favorite thing to do in Portland. I was just there for 36 hours, so it was a must. There are all kinds of food carts and vendors. And everyone is so friendly! You are, most likely, going to find street artists and musicians.

A lovely place to stroll around whether you decide to buy stuff or not...and there are plenty of fun, artsy things to buy at all price points.

This is a gem in Portland and if visiting, definitely a place to buy gifts from your trip.
Parking was quite straight forward, near the market. There are several sections, so it was fun to wander around before picking purchases. The stall holders were really nice and informative about their wares.
There are many unique crafts available, unlike many markets we have visited, many are hand made and some novelties included: beautiful hand crafted furniture pieces made from recycled wood; designed Portland T-shirts; packs of playing cards with various themes- including local breweries; caricature artists and goods made from reinforced film reel.
Fun place, fun crowd and great crafts, in the rain.

It's been a few years since we visited Portland's Saturday Market - so this was a revisit. Really enjoy the variety of crafts and art available and the atmosphere is laid back and easy going. Wonderful setting next to the river. Also a great selection of international foods available from about a dozen vendors - everything from Greek to Indian to Mexican, all very good! A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Portland.
