It was nice to have a short wander through, but to really enjoy the Rose Garden it would be best to go in Spring or Summer. The staff at the gift shop are most friendly. The bus from the Zoo is good, most reliable

Very interesting when in season and beautiful to boot. When not in season the city views are pretty d thre are other activities right there: zoo train, Japanese Garden and Tea House, tennis, archery, old zoo buildings, walking trails...

One of Portland's major attractions. Thousands of rose bushes all meticulously maintained. The cooler summer here keeps the roses in bloom for months. It's even nice in winter

The flowers are beautiful in summer and worth a look. Not worth going to in winter but spring and summer is a good time to visit.

Loved it but a little hard to get to and even harder to park. But worth it for the brilliant colors and varieties.
