“Great spot to relax with amazing views of the city”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Parking can sometimes be a bit tricky, but I love taking my dog to the rose gardens to just walk around. He gets to socialize with other dogs, and I get to stop and smell the roses. It's a beautiful, relaxing spot.

“Everythings coming up roses”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

A must see when visiting Portland. A breathtaking view of the whole city. I am a native of Portland and never get tired of the gardens. When ever I have friends visiting this is one of the places I always bring them.

“MUST BE A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN...”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

The wonderful scents of fresh roses travels in the air as you open your car in the parking lot to visit this garden...This must be a glimpse of how wonderful and amazing heaven it is!!!Multiple breed of roses reside in here for all to enjoy, feel and to see...The best time to visit this rose garden is at least during the beginning of summer where majority of the flowers are almost in their fullest bloom...If your timing is right then a community show or maybe a concert will entertain you by the mini open theater circle by the northeast side of the garden...There used to be a nice view of the downtown Portland from the garden vista but trees grew taller and thicker as years go by that blocks the space access...Finally, this is one of the numerous landmarks in the state of Oregon that first time visitors should visit once their feet touched this beautiful place...

“Free and beautiful place for a stroll”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Strolled through here in early October and so many roses still in bloom. Nice place to visit and free. Great place to take photos. Right below the Japanese Garden, a bit of a drive up once you get into Washington Park.
