All in all we had a very excellent time, the submarine tour was very very interesting and a lot of fun also over in the paper airplane making area I was able to show quite a few kids the old fashioned paper airplanes I used to make as a kid we all have a lot of fun

We visit frequently and never run out of things to do. Our grandchildren (4 and 6) absolutely love the place. The special shows are a nice addition to the regular exhibits. And, they have a very nice on site restaurant with regular and "different" food. Usually there is an exhibit about food in the restaurant so it too, is a learning opportunity. With or without children, you will enjoy your time - just make sure you allow enough of it.

OMSI is a lot of fun and has some very good exhibits and is well worth a visit ... if you have children.
If you are an adult you probably will not learn much if anything at all.The exhibits and the science are all very much geared towards younger people, and they are there running around like crazy if you go on a weekend.it can be a packed house like crazy and the hordes are sometimes unsupervised and there can be a little chaos, but it is all "fun chaos".
The prices are far too high at a minimum of $ 26.00 for two adults plus $ 4.00 parking means you can't leave there without paying a minimum of $30.00, which is ridiculous. We shouldn't even be paying for parking for one thing.
Another thing is the sub and some of the other attractions are in addition to that basic adult price.

My husband and I came to this museum for a day trip and we were delighted at the friendly greeting we got when we arrived. The staff is most delightful and the museum was well done. Next trip I will be sure to bring the grand kids.

This is a popular science museum for families. The admission price is not cheap, so see what the featured exhibit is. If it something very special, often the admission price will be even more. If you have children that have an interest in science, this might be something they would enjoy. Sometimes the featured exhibits are very interesting, so determine if your interest level matches your budget.
