This Motel is pretty old. It's close to the highway and therefore pretty noisy. The bedding is nice and modern, but the rooms are old and a bit dingy. The sliding door was single pane, so the noise was very obvious.
The room was clean and had a mini fridge. Could the whole building be updated? Yeah sure, but this is a Travelodge, not a Hilton. For less than $95 a night I don't really care what the walls and carpet look like, so long as everything feels clean!
There are two heaters in the room, one by the window and another by the wall by the bed (across from the window). We were there the weekend of the "snopocalypse" and felt very warm the whole time.
They have a continental breakfast and tray for you to take back to your room. The breakfast has yogurt, to-go containers of cereal, milk, coffee and juice, bagels, and little pastries.
They have free wifi and free parking. One of the entrances/exits is a little risky to exit out of due to the huge incline, but it is a very hilly area.
It's right outside downtown. I'd definitely stay here again if visiting the city with a car.
We stayed at this motel because my husband had medical appointments at OHSU. It is a convenient location to get there. But the motel is run-down. I used to antiseptic wipes on everything. The breakfast was almost inedible, the bagels being unchewable.
Staff was kind & courteous. Housekeeping is great. Easy commute to OHSU. Comfortable bed. Bar & Grille in building. I did not experience it but my daughter and granddaughter said food portions were plentiful and good. This Travelodge is definitely a diamond in the rough
We had a nice large room. Sufficiently clean. Had a safe, fridge, in room single coffees, microwave, table. No problems or concerns. quiet area for a city. Check out is at 11:00 am. Housekeeping knocked at 11:02am. LOL (We were on out way out) I'd stay here again!
