Everett Guesthouse was exactly what I was looking for -- a lovely, quiet, warm and welcoming place to stay while exploring Portland as a possible place to live. The owner, Terry, could not have been more helpful and her breakfasts were delicious (not to mention included in the price!) The location is ideal -- it is close to a bunch of yummy restaurants and easy to get to downtown Portland. Also just 15 minutes from the airport. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

Everett Street Guesthouse is a home away from home. During our three-week exploration of Oregon, this was our most enjoyable and comfortable stay. We loved our tree-top aerie of a bedroom and the attention given to a variety of breakfasts: fresh fruit, homemade granola, perfectly poached eggs, or fluffy, light pancakes; and some of the best coffee in town, all served in a comfortable, open and light-filled environment. The location is within walking distance to many good restaurants, too. Perfect!

I had a wonderful stay at Everett Street Guesthouse last weekend . The neighborhood is friendly, quiet , and located within walking distance of several world class restaurants.
Be sure to try Bamboo Sushi and La Tabla !! Owner Terry was very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. My room was spotless and very private. Breakfast was everything that you could possibly want and Terry's coffee is outstanding ! Her home is filled with Arts and Crafts from around the world - quirky , comfy and inviting !! This is the best value I have had in a bed and breakfast stay . Try it ! You will not be disappointed !

We reserved the WellFleet room at the Everett Street Guesthouse for our first trip to Portland, over President’s Day weekend. This B&B is conveniently located in a nice neighborhood, and was easily reached from the airport by public transportation. Several bus lines can be used, not only for a short trip to the downtown area, but also to Hillside or Washington Park. You really don’t need to rent a car in Portland if you’re not planning on going outside of the city. The room was nicely decorated, very comfortable and super quiet at night. The bathroom was very clean; it is shared with another bedroom, but we were alone on that weekend and had it just for ourselves. Breakfast were great - we just checked what we like on a list upon arrival, then Terry decided of the content each morning. Really enjoyed the surprise menu, one day on the sweet side, the other day on the salty side. We appreciated the high speed wireless internet to plan our visits and itineraries. We would definitely go back to the Everett Guesthouse for another stay in Portland, and will recommend it to our friends. It’s a very good deal for the comfort and the attention you get.

I stayed in the studio cottage in the back. What a wonderfully cozy cottage. It was a good size for me as a solo traveler but would also work well for a couple. The kitchenette has everything you'd need to cook a meal; the bed is luxurious and there's a comfy chair for reading. The bathroom is small but has a nice shower and thick fluffy towels. It's a very safe location which was important to me. The location was a 15 minute walk to the area of 10th and Burnside where I attended a dance festival. There are several restaurants and coffee shops in the area as well as grocery stops. The bus line is only a couple of blocks away and Portland's transit system is excellent for getting around the city. I was easily able to get to the airport on my departure for just $2.00 on the public transit system. I will definitely keep this gem of a place on my list for another visit.

I stayed in the studio cottage for 5 nights in mid-October. Loved the cottage (very well-equipped and comfortable, with access to a wonderful deck and a private patio), and the area. There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and a 30-40 minute walk across Burnside Bridge to downtown. Terry is a great innkeeper - very helpful, but gives guests their space. I definitely recommend a stay here!

My husband and I stumbled upon this little gem while searching for a more affordable alternative to the high end hotels in Downtown Portland. We hit the jackpot.

From the minute you walk in the door, you feel like you have landed someplace special. I felt like I was in the middle of an art gallery. The room was very tastefully furnished, plenty large enough, well appointed bathroom right next door, several windows and light.

The neighborhood is quite trendy and you are easily within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, Whole Foods for groceries, and a lovely park to walk or run in.

If you decide to use the bus system, its a quick 10-15 minutes to downtown with the bus stop only a few blocks away.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent, fresh, and Terry the owner was very enjoyable to speak with.

We were there to attend a wedding, but will assuredly return if we end up in Portland again. We cant say enough about this place. You will love it!
