“Bridgeport and Brewcycle”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

A group of friends got together and visited several brewpubs, including one of my favorites, Bridgeport, by way of Portland Brewcycle- a self propelled bicycle machine steered by trusty owner Andrea. A great to spend an afternoon around the Pearl District. it was a lot of fun.

“One big issue”
Reviewed April 1, 2012

I'm a fan.

BUT, one fairly egregious issue that I think should be addressed.

WHY on Earth do they have tables that are literally 5 feet from the entrance to the restaurant, with NO barrier, partition, or anything? Not only was I cold (duhh it gets a little cold in Portland sometimes and I thought I'd be sitting INSIDE when I went to this restaurant, foolish me), but people at my table were looking directly at the front door and all the people walking in and out.

For how nicely they've done the overall renovation, I am really surprised they placed several tables where they did. Looks amateurish to me.

Otherwise, the bar upstairs is good and the rest of the place is too. As is the IPA.

“Used to be great before rebuilt and now modern and not that great”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

Building is still same structure but inside rebuilt and very modern with lots of metal and very hard uncomfortable wood chairs. Microbrews are decent, but McMennamens are better. Food is average, but last two times my chicken sandwich was raw and then got arguement from server that it wasn't... pink flesh means raw, I know how to cook lady! Haven't been back since.

“Good Food/Beer, Nice Atmosphere”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

Used to be a dive pizza/beer joint, remodel few years ago made it more upscale with a better menu. Not sure if they still do pub quiz upstairs, but had a great time and decent food/beers several times there. Can get pretty crowded, but wait is short if any, and plenty of street parking in the surrounding blocks.
