My first visit recently was a very pleasant surprise. Peruvian chefs use only fresh ingredients prepared with delicious sauces which makes for some captivating flavors for sure. Bar menu especially enticing for very reasonable prices as well as nice diversity. This represents Peruvian panache with a definite Northwest twist. Extremely friendly personal waiting on you. I would go back as the quality is overall high without being pretentious, and the flavors are of a special hit on the palate without being too spicy, etc. Truly a hidden gem that is only 4 years old.

it surprises me every time i go that i can just walk in here and get a table without a wait. the food is fresh and delicious. hard to pick favourites but impossible not to highlight the various ceviches; fresh, vibrant and bursting with flavour. the hanger steak, pork tenderloin with crispy razor clams, causa and papa rellena rounded out a beautiful and well balanced meal. value-wise it's hard to see how they're making money, given the quality and provenance of the ingredients.

if you're tired of queueing for hours to sit elbow to elbow with people whose only criteria for choosing a restaurant is that they have to queue for hours and then sit elbow to elbow then give del inti a shot.

We had dinner at del INTI yesterday 9/14/12 and thought it was fantastic. Husband had Causa (photo included) which is bay shrimp, purple potato, avocado, cherry tomato, radish & aioli. He thought it was the best dish he's had in a very long time. As a starter I had the white quinoa "risotto" which was also fantastic. For our mains we had Ceviche Mixto $12.00 and Arrocio $14.00 both were heavenly. If you like Peruvian with a Northwest influence GO TO del INTI

Okay Portlanders, based on your reviews I can tell you don't get out of the Northwest much. Sure, this place may seem great if you've never really enjoyed authentic Latin American cuisine and by that I mean actually eating in a country south of here. I was born and raised in Panama and have had the opportunity to try tons of Peruvian food and this place doesn't even come close. But okay, to be fair, it does say it is a Northwestern version of Peruvian cuisine...but man, Portland is so white...come on chef...add a little sazon to that meat you're serving me! And let's not be so stingy with the seafood here...I've come here with an appetite! It wasn't bad BUT it wasn't good either. You need to kick your flavoring up a notch and you'll be fine. Beautifully presented dishes and great service but a tiny bit too American, carajo! Better than Andina though - that's for sure!
