We really enjoyed our stay at the Nines. The hotel is centrally located and it is contemporary without being over the top. The room was clean, modern, and a nice size. I would highly recommend it!

I am moving and stayed at The Nines for a few days while making the transition. The entire staff was wonderful and supportive, particularly the bellmen. I had lots of boxes and they really helped me out.

The hotel is all you want it to be and more. Not too many choices of where to eat although enough. Great great location, couldn't be better. You are in the heart of a little city and everything is within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Luxurious rooms that aren't too large nor too small. Great restaurants all around waiting to be discovered . I highly recommend the club floor rooms as they have breakfast and all day snacks that are delicious, available with refreshments and a private concierge in the club room. It was the most enjoyable 4 day vacation I have had in years. Looking forward to going back in August.

Room Tip: Pay for a club room it is worth it

The Nines is located in downtown Portland surrounded by green parks, great sidewalks, cafes, coffee shops and great dining choices. It has been remodeled from a former department stores, so it has mannequins curiously scattered around the property. The rooms are luxurious, the service is excellent, and the concierge is very helpful. The lounge bar-restaurant named the Urban Farmer serves a great burger; and the rooftop Asian restaurant has fine cuisine and coicktails, and provides a gorgeous view. Ask for room on high floors, from where you can see Mt Hood.

Stayed here for a business mtg this week and came away very impressed. This hotel is located about the dowtown Macy's (formally Meier and Frank). The rooms are well appointed and spotless. The Departures lounge on the roof is very nice. Service is good and the found for the meetings we had was well above par. Only downside is that I did not care for the teal color scheme in the rooms. This hotel compares well with the Heathman around the corner - the rooms in the Nines are much larger, the Heathman feels cozier.

Room Tip: some rooms face out to the city - others face into the atrium
