Wonderful hotel with all you would expect from an HI Xprs. Excellent breakfast choices with bacon, scrambled eggs, omelette, sausage patties on alternating days, we stayed for a few. All items quickly refilled and plenty of room to sit. We appreciated having coffee and tea being available in the evenings. Nice clean room with great air conditioning, it was very warm at time of visit. Great staff, friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. Hotel location is ideally just outside of Downtown which is an easy drive but also gives you easy access to Vancouver WA. take note of rush hour timing and all points of interest easily accessible. Also Hayden Island itself is becoming more developed so we appreciated the Safeway, Denny's and other shops being close to the hotel for the evening if we didn't feel like going into Downtown. Pool and jacuzzi nice and refreshing and gym room just right for it!s size. Highly recommended if you don't need to be in the City and want somewhere quiet.

Was recently in Portland for a large international convention. I know a number of us ended up staying at this hotel. I was not recognized/nor welcomed as a priority club member, and even though i had made the reservation well in advance, a room upgrade was also not an option. As someone who spends hundreds of days in holiday inns, first time I felt as if i was shoved into a room. Clerk was not present when i arrived at 10 pm, and we all waited until they finally came back to the front desk. Understand they were busy, but maybe they should have had more help when they are booked full? Took 20 minutes+ to get checked in, and no priority check out when i left. Not the best experience that i have ever had. Room was clean, and average. I would stay again, just would not expect any "priority"...

Room Tip: Good rooms, as is on an island, close to shopping. Either side of the hotel will work out...

We stayed here for one night after finding downtown Portland almost sold out and the few rooms that were available were overpriced. This hotel was newly renovated and our room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is on a quiet little island North of Portland, so if you want to be in the middle of the action this is not the place to be. Great value for our one night stay.

This was similar to just about all holiday inn expresses. It had a clean, attractive room with a substantial breakfast and attentive service. It is not in as good a location as some of this chain, which is its only real drawback. Price is very reasonable. Recommend for those who don't need to be right downtown.

This property is a great value if you don't have a need to be close to the action in Portland. Well run, clean, typical amenities for a HIExpress. We stayed here when most of the Portland hotels were full, including our usual spots, and found it to be a very satisfactory alternative. Only drawback is the traffic on I5 when returning during the afternoon or evening.

For our spring break adventure, we purchased tickets to a Blazer game and to Wicked, but we didn't want to stay in the middle of the city, so I started browsing the web to find somewhere out of town, yet close enough that we wouldn't have to drive too far to get to our city destinations. After checking deals on Expedia, I finally settled on this hotel. Two nights in the middle of the week in one of their standard king rooms ended up costing $203 after tax...much cheaper than many of the other places I looked at!

We were very pleased with our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The check-in process went smoothly and the staff was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and jacuzzi, and we were pleased that our room had a refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and there were no problems with the TV or bathroom. The sofa and table in our room were nice additions to make the place feel like a little home.

The location was easy to find thanks to signs that helped us know where to make turns. It's close to a variety of restaurants and shopping options, and we felt safe about leaving our car in the parking lot at night. We drove to a MAX stop nearby and rode in to the Blazer game, so you can easily get a room here and never have to worry about driving or paying to park in the city if you wanted to.

We had a great stay at this hotel and will definitely book a room here again when we head to Portland for some fun!

The room was a suite with microwave, refrigerator, couch and an extra bedroom. The room spacious, quiet and well designed.

The sink was outside of the bathroom giving us more convenience.

This was an exceellnt hotel we will stay at again.

Room Tip: Higher floors are very quiet and have little hallway traffic.
