This hotel was the best for the price in that area. Very close to the airport and also close to where my business meetings were. The breakfast was great. The evening social was great too. The staff was very helpful. Would recommend without a doubt.

We were in town for a family reunion/memorial service. The airport location was ideal - especially with Cascade Station's shopping/dining choices nearby. 24 hour shuttle service is a nice bonus since one of our couples had a 5am flight out. The property served our needs well.

Visited Portland for a customer meeting. Spacious rooms that were also quiet. Property is what one would expect from an Embassy Suites. Friendly staff, especially the servers at the Happy Hour and breakfast.
Can't beat the convenience. Left the property on the shuttle at 6:13a for an 8:00a flight. I was sitting at the gate by 6:26a.

Stayed at this property at the end of our vacation, as we had an early morning flight home. Property was clean and staff were very friendly. We were able to turn our rental car in the night before and use the hotel shuttle to get back, which saved us $15 in parking fees. We enjoyed the Manager's Reception the night we arrived and the cooked to order breakfast the following morning. We had a couple of issues in the room - refrigerator wasn't working, and the shower curtain liner was moldy on the bottom, which we told the front desk staff at checkout. They were very apologetic and said they would definitely look into it.
One concern we did have, was how much airplane noise we would get, since this hotel sits at the entrance to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that you rarely heard planes taking off and landing!
The only thing that kept me from giving this property 5 stars, is the attention to detail that we associate with Embassy Suites. We stay at this chain whenever possible, and upon check-in, the staff usually points out where the elevators are and makes sure all of your questions are answered before you walk away. Some of these properties are large, and you really don't want to drag your luggage around looking for elevators. This is the only thing I can knock the staff on...just fell a little short on the attention to details, that we have come to expect with Embassy Suites.

Firstly, the staff were very kind, our waiter in the restaurant was great, started with an I and he had an accent. Food was pretty great as well except my mother in laws chicken sandwich was very dry, and too salty. Crab mac and cheese was sooo good though. I think the paper cups should be ditched, that's something I would expect at a Hampton not an Embassy.
Issues with the stay:
There was popcorn spilled in the elevator, a decent amount, we notified the front desk, yet when we were leaving 12 hours later there was popcorn all over still.
Second issue when I went down the the breakfast area there was watermelon, cantaloupe, and bacon were all empty. There was quite a line for omelets and scramble eggs were cold. I ended up just eating bagel with cream cheese. I definitely feel as if there could have been more breakfast staff.

I am so sorry you found our lobby unsatisfactory. I can assure you that is not the standard in our hotel.
