Have stayed in numerous Embassy Suites over the years. This one is slightly below average compared to our other experiences at this chain primarily because of the dated decor and the bad beds. Staff encountered were all courteous and welcoming.
Parking: $15/day, has in/out privileges. The Hilton app said the digital key worked for the entry gate but we couldn’t get it to work. Get the parking ticket validated when you check in and that can be used over and over for parking exit and entry.
Checkin was quick, efficient and pleasant.
Managers reception: 5:30-7:30. Tortilla chips, crackers, mini pita bread bites, hummus, carrots, cherry tomatoes, veggie dip, pop corn. Bartender was nice. Cleanup of reception food was promptly at 7:30.
Public sitting areas / ground floor: nice big open area with water features. Very pleasant. 3 glass elevators. Soft seating and associated tables were very worn and in need of replacement.
2 double bed premium suite: A tray with a variety snacks and drinks was brought to the room following checkin. They were replenished on the second day.
Room appeared clean, temperature adjusted as needed.
Had view of the Columbia River, airport runway and passenger train rails but could barely hear any of the noise.
Room could use better curtains to keep the early morning light at bay.
The decor and furniture is dated.
The pullout sofa was horrible. If hotels offer a pullout sofa with the intent of someone being able to sleep on it, they should invest in a decent sofa.
Double beds were both very bouncy and uncomfortable- woke with sore backs.
Breakfast: Good. Omelette station was quick. Plenty of seating. There could have been more variety of fresh fruit.
Checkout: app didn’t work for checkout.
