We went to the smaller Pine State Biscuits some time ago after reading about it in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was a good experience. Therefore we returned to the larger restaurant on Alberta Street. The order desk was a little conjested, but the staff handled the orders well. I had the fried chicken and egg biscuit which was large and very good. My wife had the blue cornmeal blueberry pancakes with an egg and ham. The pancake was chock full of blueberries and to our great surprise came with real maple syrup, which is a rarity for us. Growing up in eastern Quebec, my wife does know what the real syrup is. Next time I will order the blueberry pancakes. The country ham was a little salty for our taste. The eggs were cooked as ordered. The food arrived quickly. The coffee was excellent. An interesting atmosphere. We will return.
