Maybe overstating it but we did come just to Portland, from Australia, and this was the second place on our must visit list.
Yum.
Double Yum.
Just delicious.
Great atmosphere, and lovely to wander the NE Alberta area afterwards.

“Big business”

Awesome fried chicken in a tasty sandwich. Delicate but not too much. Good late night deals. Plus, how high up they stack it is pretty impressive.

“Missed the mark on this visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

The first time we visited the Belmont location and everything was great. This time we visited the Alberta street location. For this visit, I'd give them 2 stars but gave them 3 because of the great first visit.

I had the chicken which was overcooked and stringy, the hushpuppies were black. My mother got the ham and egg biscuit and the ham was not edible as it was sooo salty, not just a little salty but seawater salty. My wife's biscuit was not hot enough to melt the butter and had pieces of baking powder that made parts of it very bitter. The coffee was really good so that was the high point of the meal. We'll give them another try and hope this experience was not the norm.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

We had so much fun and good food here. It's well worth the wait, although we didn't have much of one on an early holiday morning. The biscuits were delicious, and I don't usually even like biscuits. Absolutely worth visiting and enjoying!

“best breakfast in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

Hands down, the best breakfast we had in Portland during our 3 nights stay. Our friend told us we must visit this place and he was definitely right...so glad we listened. The blueberry cornmeal pancakes is a MUST TRY along with the sausage gravy biscuits. They have so many dishes to choose from you'll have to keep coming back!
