My daughter & I spent 3 nights to celebrate her finishing law school. It was THE perfect place to 'chill out'. We are both vegan, and I am gluten intolerant, so, by most standards we would be considered difficult customers. We were thrilled with the breakfasts all 3 mornings. Michelle made vegan, gluten-free scones for me that were incredibly delicious, and we both *loved* the fruit cobbler.

Highly recommended!

The Wildspring Guest Habitat is a place so wonderful you'll never want to leave. It is well worth the money and the website does a very good job describing the atmospere of this lovely oasis. The location is extremely private and serene, the perfect place to get away from it all. The hosts have thought through every detail and service, including contacting me later when they found my earring in the guest house after I had already checked out. They graciously sent it to me at no extra charge. I would go back in a heart beat!

Very tall trees, some with hammocks, surrounded with subtle art works, fully accommodated 5 cabins/cottages, superb hostesses, Michelle and Dean. A lounge/dining hall equipped with a kitchen for guests' beverages/snacks and entertainment overlooking the pacific ocean. Gourmet buffet breakfast served every morning bet. 9-10am. Guests can prepare meals at the hall kitchen bet. 12 -1pm and 6-7pm. Very quiet, no children, scents, or loud noises allowed. pacific view hot tub. Perfect for relaxation, meditation, a laid back get a way for couples, or a quiet relaxed weekend. It's ideal for celeb's who want to avoid paparazzis! Trails are available for hiking. There are few restaurants, Red Fish has the best view, from where you can climb down to a nice walking beach. The highlight of your visit is the Wild Spring. Book early as it gets sold out quickly.

Room Tip: All cabins are among the trees, none overlooks the pacific. But it's still good to get the full...

We had an absolutely beautiful stay for a few nights when we were in Oregon for a wedding. I was really excited about Wild Spring and the style of resort that it seemed to be from the website. I was not disappointed. The website does an excellent job of describing the cottages as well as setting expectations for your experience.

Such a beautiful, peaceful resort and very close to the beach so we could take long walks on the beach or go for a hike on the property and other locations in the area.

During the drive down, we were also able to stop at a number of the Oregon lighthouses, those are well worth the excursion.

One tip. We had to drive from Port Orford to Medford for a wedding. Our Garmin GPS and MapQuest both suggested the same route which is over and through the Rogue River National Forest - if you are not very familiar with the area - you do not want to drive that route!

Room Tip: Look on the website at the room descriptions closely. They do a good job of describing and "si...

This is the perfect place to disconnect and re-energize. We decided to drive up the Oregon Coast on our way to Eugene from Silicon Valley. Michelle and Dean are wonderful people and if you want to meet them stop by the office during office hours. You are free to go about the property and do whatever you want, sit in the hot tub, have some tea, swing in the hammock, walk down to the beach. Cabins are super clean and floor heating is awesome. It is so quiet when you sleep because you are in your own cabin and you can't hear anyone you will have a great night's rest. Read all of the website if you have any questions, they try to answer them all. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant about how remote it was and how "in the woods" it really would be but if you are a bit adventurous and need some total rest and relaxation this is the place for you. I would not expect too much socializing with anyone because you can be there when nobody else is there, however, we had great time talking to the people in town at the restaurants, galleries and we saw Dean in the morning one time and visited Michelle another time so we were completely happy. Once you realize how serene the place is you won't want to leave.

Room Tip: See the notes on cabins 1 and 2 if you want a little sun, however, this is not California. It was (h...

I would want it to be just like this one! My husband made the reservations as a birthday gift, and, boy, did he choose well! The few things people complain about in other reviews (seriously?! where have you stayed that's better than this?!), were positives for us -- you could go a whole day without seeing anyone else, the cabins were small-ish, but certainly not tiny. Lovely decor that suits the setting, very clean and comfortable. The view was spectactular! We loved the easy check-in, check-out, ordering breakfast process. We don't go to B&Bs to make new lifelong friends; so, appreciate the fact that, other than at breakfast, we rarely saw the other guests. All were out seeing the beautiful area! Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet Michelle and thank her for sharing their beautiful place. Dean is very gracious, in a quiet manner, and that was fine with us. We like the ability to use the kitchen on a limited basis -- we'd brought lunch goodies along and decided that, rather than carry them on our hike, we'd come back to the guest house and enjoy the views. We also appreciated that breakfast wasn't this huge affair, as it is at many B&Bs where you're tempted to eat WAY too much. The frittata and breakfast casserole was excellent, and we liked the ability to let them know what we'd prefer to have alongside.
Highly recommend, and we'll be back!

What a fantastic place to stay on the south coast. Magical is the best word to describe this charming B and B in Port Orford. Five "cabins" are situated among tall old growth forest creating an environment of peace and tranquility. These are not really cabins but small guest houses which are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Walking up to the main house on the trail through the forest you encounter sculptures which add to the charm of the place. Breakfast was very good on the deck overlooking the ocean. We didn't see the whales but supposedly a pod stays in the bay nine months of the year. Don't forget your swim suit so you can enjoy the hot tub with the ocean view. Have dinner at Red Fish which is within walking distance. The food is excellent with killer views down the coast.

Room Tip: All the "cabins" are equally charming
