“Lots to see and do”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Port Orford may be a small town, but it is exceptional in that there is so much to see here. Cape Blanco State Park is just one of them. The lighthouse and the historic Hughes House are fun to see, and the hiking is just wonderful - views of the ocean, old-growth forest, the Sixes river, and ranches with sheep and cows. The beach beneath the lighthouse, on both sides of the headland, are just amazing. Not to be missed on an Oregon Coast trip!

“Extraordinary Lighthouse and Beaches”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

This place speaks for itself with a gorgeous lighthouse and beach views that go on for miles. At sunset, a herd of deer scampered by as we took photos of the Cape Blance lighthouse. The reflection of the sun off of the lens was blinding. Walk along the beaches and enjoy the chipmunks and other wildlife. Good use for your weekly State Park Pass.

“Another great Oregon state park”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Very nice protected campground among trees. Great privacy between many sites. Within hiking distance of the Cape Blanco lighthouse and several beautiful walking beaches along the scenic coast. Hiking trails along the bluffs above the beach. Electric and water hookups available along with showers. Can handle fairly long RV's. Nice, quiet paved road to bike between Hwy 101 and the park (5 miles).

“What a Great Park”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

This was our first visit to an Oregon State Park and we loved it. I love the ease of getting around in an RV, the campsites are well laid out, not too hard to get into, well trimmed from tree branches, and paved. Facilities are good, though they are having problems with their drain field for the dumpstation and it is temporarily/permanently closed -- with directions on how to get to a pay dumpstation outside the park.

“Another beautiful place!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

The only disappointment was that the lighthouse is closed on Tuesdays and we were there on a Tuesday, so no opportunity to get close/go inside this lighthouse for us on this trip. But otherwise, it was another beautifully scenic place to stop and take photographs and enjoy the fresh sea air!
