“Good Local Eatery”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Excellent Thai food. Waiter we had could have been better, had to ask another one about the status of our order. Our waiter comes to our table to tell us that the kitchen was "backed up" but many other parties of people arriving after us received their meals before us. Guess he forgot to put in our order.

“Not what you'd expect”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Authentic Thai food along side traditional American Fare. What used to be a questionable tavern has turned into a place to take the family for a variety of dining options.

“Great food, no place like it.....”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I've had better Thai, maybe, in Seattle or Portland, but the food is really good. The best part though for me is the atmosphere. From the outside it looks like any small town dive bar. When you get inside, well, it looks like a small town dive bar, but an interesting one. Take my word for it, you'll never ever ever get the opportunity to eat Thai food in this environment anywhere else. Oh, and if the weather is good there's a really nice shaded porch. Decent beer selection too.

We'd driven past here many times with the kids (who love Thai) but never stopped because it looked too much like a bar, but now I intend to go back with the kids. Definite bar atmosphere, but very friendly and specifically kid friendly.

“Good food but prices have gone up”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We've eaten here a number of times over the years and always like the food. We hadn't been in for a year or maybe more, and stopped in intending to have an early dinner. We were kind of shocked at the prices as they seem to have gone up significantly. Nearly everything on the Thai menu was $15 or more.

We were too late for lunch and honestly felt that given the surroundings, the dinner prices are now too high. The Woodsman is what it is and that's *not* fancy, but after we sat down we had to move to a different booth because the seat sagged so much I dropped down about a foot!

You'd think that they could spend a bit of money to get some new seats when they are that bad . . . I bet the new pavement on the parking lot cost a lot more than a few new booth seats!

We did have a shrimp appetizer which was quite good, along with a Singha Thai beer. The server was just barely friendly but reasonably efficient. I got the impression she didn't like her job, or maybe she was just unhappy to be working on a Sunday.

We'll try them again for lunch, since I'm sure the food is still very good.
