Went over to have something to eat and to have a drink with Frank. Great place, nice service. If you stay at Knights Inn you even get a 10% discount.

I will be back.

Thank Albert B

Pleasant greeting at the entry. Attached to a modest motel downtown. Service on the Saturday that we were there was stretched thin but showed a positive attitude. One of us wanted a smaller dinner and asked for a hamburger (if they did offer, given the general pricing it would have likely been a $12 hamburger) But they don't offer. One of us had the grilled halibut dinner and the light eater had the halibut on the appetizer list. Both were very good.

In celebrating our 24 wedding anniversary we decided to have dinner at Stetson's house of prime. Some friend told us about the restaurant, and after looking at the menu online we were convinced based on the prices that this should be an excellent restaurant. We both ordered the 14 oz Ribeye steak at $30.00/each. This was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. We drove about one hour to get to this place, and couldn't find it. Our GPS tell us arrived destination, but just couldn't see it. We circled around a few times before calling the restaurant to verify location. We then parked our vehicle, had to walk and closely looked at the buildings before we discovered this small corner restaurant with a lighted sign on the entry door. Being a Sunday and our Anniversary, we were all dressed up in our best (Suit and dress). Our first shock was when we walked in: The place was not fancy at all, just a few boots in a row, dark, and not where you want to celebrate your wedding anniversary. We had just had dinner at Hamley's (a very nice, and cozy restaurant, serving excellent food for the price, just a block away) a month before, and was expecting the same kind of atmosphere at Stetson's. At this point we could have or should have left, but we thought that maybe the food is better and if so will make up for everything else that was lacking. The stake was tasteless, not so tender, and frankly not much attention was paid to cooking it. It was just a piece of stake that anyone with no cooking experience could have thrown on the grill and have the same result. The grean beans were awful, and there was no doubt that they came from a can. You could taste the canned aftertaste eventhough it was flavored with bacon, and one bite was all we were able to take in (I even spat mine out in he napkin, just couldn't swallow it). The potatoes were okay, but cold so we didn't eat them. We were offered some sauces for the steak, and what was brought to the table was: a bottle of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and Heinz 57. We were so dissapointed to say the least! Even Denny's would have been better than this place! So my advice: Do not stop at Stetson's, continue driving to Hamley's for a nice, romantic and intimate dinner.

We split a mouthwatering steak, with baked potato and salad and everything was fabulous. Service was great and our drinks never ran dry. Be careful though, because those tasty drinks will sneak up on you. Good thing we were close to our motel.

This place is "The Old Reliable" for the best steak in Pendleton. The food was good. We were served by the owner, and service was great. The tab came out to about $30/person, which is about what I expected. We go here a couple times a year, when we really want steak, and this place never disappoints!! Also, the fried oysters are really good.
