“Terrific B&B in a Quaint Town with Orchards!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Old Parkdale Inn is our type of B&B: it's a historical home, beautifully upgraded on the inside, only has 3 guest rooms, and located in a small town with interesting history and acres of fruit orchards. The topper is you can see Mt. Hood!
Owner and hostess, Mary, is an excellent chef! She made us the best blueberry, crispy pancakes and breakfast cobbler, all with local fruit. Delicioius! Mary also is a pleasure to talk with, full of information and suggestions, and is even a docent at the local museum. We stayed longer to see the museum. Even better, one of the best BBQ places is located down the street from the B&B. A must!
This B&B was on the high side of our lodging expenses for our OR vacation, but it was worth it!

I stayed in June 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed the charming B&B. Mary was most helpful, friendly and cooked amazing breakfasts each day. The area is lovely and I have no hesitation on recommending a stay at The Old Parkdale Inn.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Parkdale Inn. Parkdale is a charming little town with a magnificent view of Mt. Hood. Hiking at Timberline and Trillium Lake are just a short away. Our hostess, Mary, was so friendly and full of helpful tips on what to do during our visit. We really enjoyed visiting with her. The Meadowlark Room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were outstanding! We originally only booked one night, but had such a great stay that we asked if the room was available for an additional night. Fortunately, it was! Be sure to check out the local brew pub and its wonderful selection of beers. We also walked down to the local market and picked up some provisions for a picnic on the patio, with entertainment provided by a flock of yellow finches. We would love to stay here again!

Room Tip: The Meadowlark Room is the smallest and most inexpensive, but is certainly comfortable. The Chinook...

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at the Old Parkdale Inn this past weekend while attending a wedding at Mt. Hood Organic Farms. The location couldn't have been better for us! Mary and Steve were so welcoming and friendly! The inn is wonderful! Super comfortable, cute and most importantly clean! The house and grounds are kept up so well and everything little detail is thought of. There is even a 24hour beverage bar with instant hot water for tea, coffee or cocoa. The breakfast Mary served was delicious and we had a full juice and condiment array to choose from. It is also wonderful that they try to support local as much as they can. Tilly the cute Swiss Mountain Dog is an added bonus. We will definitely be back!!

Room Tip: All rooms seemed equally wonderful! Just depends on what you are looking for. The descriptions onlin...

My wife and I originally planned a trip to the Willamette Valley area last summer, to visit the wineries in the area and just explore that part of Oregon and then the coast. It was to be our first ever Oregon visit. But we decided to spend our first day or two at the Old Parkdale Inn, near Mt. Hood, to check out THAT area.

The more we looked into the Mt. Hood / Hood River area, and the more we thought about spending that much time in the wineries, we came to the conclusion that Parkdale was a much better location for us. And were we ever right!

Mary, at the Old Parkdale Inn, completely made our trip!. The accomodations are excellent, breakfasts are sumptuous and Mary always had a recommendation for a hike, scenic drive, OR visiting a winery, fruit farm, or general store on the Fruit Loop! Just fabulous!

Luckily for us, the Rainier cherries were just being harvested and we bought them by the bag full at the cherry farms! We had never seen cherry orchards OR pear orchards and really enjoyed talking to the owners. Also we both loved the Pheasant Valley Winery! What fun!

If you are planning to be in that area, be sure to give Mary to check on availability. You won't regret your visit.

Room Tip: Can't remembe the name, but try to get one with a view of Mt. Hood. What a site to wake up to...

My partner and I spent a weekend at the Old Parkdale Inn and had a wonderful time. Mary was lovely, extremely sweet and welcoming. The surrounding town is adorable and a perfect place for a quiet getaway.

The food was divine, my partner and I are both vegetarian and the accommodations were outstanding. The bed was also to die for, the sheets were so soft and so comfortable!

I highly recommend the Old Parkdale Inn!

You will feel very welcomed and comfortable at the Old Parkdale Inn. Mary is very accomodating
and will serve up a wonderful gourmet breakfast. There is a lot of beauty in this area with great views of mountains and the valley. Close to Hood River, a quaint town with shopping and restaurants, and the state park for hiking along with Mt. Hood with all it's beauty and majesty!
