We tried to stop in Pacific City to see the beach and the rock but it was sooo crowded that we could not find a place to park our 30 feet long RV. We drove a bit further to the North and found a nice and quiet beach where you can see the cape and the large rock.

Absolutely love Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon Coast! The views from the sand dunes are stunning. Little Haystack Rock dominates the skyline directly off the coast and supports several species of birds, as well as sea lions that love sunning themselves on the beach. Just a truly beautiful area to visit and explore!

What a gem on the Oregon Coast. Beautiful views of some very interesting rock formations along with a tremendous sand hill for hiking. Whales just off shore make for a great experience. Large variety of birds.

A very beautiful spot on the Oregon coast. There is also a haystack rock which has a jug handle on the side. After many years on the Oregon coast, I did not know there were more haystack rocks - I was told there were three and this one is the largest. I will do some research on that though because the Haystack Rock at Canon Beach looked as big as this one. A great place to visit the coast. My husband walked near a cave in the rocks at the bottom and saw a large sea lion sleeping in the cave. Quite a wonderful find. We were there for a Memorial for my sister since this was one of her favorite places to visit.

This place is a must see on the Oregon Coast. Cape Kiwanda has a beautiful walking beach area with a sand dune. If you don't feel like climbing the sand dune, Cape Kiwanda still has a lot to see and without the crowds . We had a good time out there and took a few nice pictures.
