Description: This is where it all started back in 1996. Envisioned by three inspired founders, a little run-down beachfront building began its transformation into the international icon it is today. The only beachfront brewpub in the Pacific Northwest, this inviting establishment welcomes guests with tantalizing beer cuisine, intimate brewery tours and, arguably, the most incredible beach patio experience around. Gaze in awe at Oregon’s largest Haystack Rock. Watch the surfers. See the sun set. Order another beer.

Probably a must visit if you're on the Oregon coast. The view is everything. It is a true brew pub but they are very proud of their product so dig deep. Probably the most expensive craft beer we experienced on the coast. That is a shame. They are milking their reputation. The food is just okay. Go for the beer. We had no high expectations so we were not disappointed. It is pure touristy. It is worth the visit just to sit on the deck and watch the ocean. Other than the location it has nothing special to offer.

This is one of a kind on the Oregon (or Washington) coast. A real brew pub right on the beach. Excellent beer, good selection and the service is always good. Beer prices are high compared to almost anywhere, avoid wine by the glass. But you have an amazing view and access to the beach right out the door. Food is just OK though, and I feel it's overpriced and uninspired (not that it isnt tasty).

The Pelican Pub is situated right on the beach in Pacific City OR. During warmer months you can sit outside and enjoy the ocean breezes and sand beneath your feet. The Dory fishing fleet launches from the beach and you may be able to see the boats coming in or out. The food and beer are very good but it is the location that makes this a gem. The Imperial IPA is excellent if you are an IPA fan. We stop here every trip down the coast just to soak in the ambience and location! Staff is very friendly.

Being as this is one of the only restaurants in Pacific City, we weren't sure what to expect. I had the pork chop with cabbage braised with apples, bacon, and hazelnuts (I think), along with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. The cabbage mixture was excellent and went well with the pork. The seasonal vegetables were also excellent - butternut squash with julienned carrots and other veggies. Overall, very impressed. The hubs had the combo pizza. He wasn't as impressed since it was a lot of dough and not as much toppings as he prefers, but it was good, too. He also had their Kiwanda Cream Ale which was very tasty. It was a nice surprise to find such good food.

The food, beer and service was all great and well thought out. We had the sampler and rockcod BLT. It was yummy!
