“good memories”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

My family travels to this particular beach every summer. The hotel is just across the street from pelican brewery which we stayed at. The brewery has won many titles including a few world titles for their beer. The food is great the service is amazing. The owner of the brewery actually sat down with my family during our meal and talked with us about our stay and the restaurant, and many other things. I highly recommend going here, you wont regret it and they even have clothing and beer you can purchase as a nice memory. This restaurant has become a summer tradition for my family!

“A Great Place on the Beach”
Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

The Pelican is A great spot on the beach with an excellent kitchen. As the name suggests this is also a brew pub and it is a good one with a menu that provides pairings with the dishes.

The crab roll was stacked high with meat that had to be taken off before I could even think about picking up the roll. The crabmeat was sweet without filler and the roll was the light frankfort roll that holds lobster in New England. It went down real well with a pint of Dark Dory. You will want to take some of the distinctive beer home.

“What a view with very nice staff, great beer, okay food.”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

The Pelican Pub has one of the nicest views of the ocean on the (Oregon) coast. It is a large restaurant/pub. You can see the beer brewing as you walk in the front door. There is also a section where you can buy beer, t-shirts and other items. The beer is second to none! They have a large variety to choose from. Some for you Hop-heads and others for we wheat lovers, plus the seasonal. My husband got the sampler tray of all the beers they brew. A great idea to find your favorite. The Cream ale was our favorite. The food was okay. I had a halibut that was tasty, although dry. My husband had the special prawns on skewers, which he said was pretty good. We also had breakfast which was very good. Maybe we hit an off night for dinner items. The hamburgers looked great. I opted for wine with dinner and was surprised for a brewery to have a pretty good selection of different wines. All in all we were very happy with the view, the staff and the beer. We will, of course, try dinner again. Everyone can have an off-night!
