Description: This is where it all started back in 1996. Envisioned by three inspired founders, a little run-down beachfront building began its transformation into the international icon it is today. The only beachfront brewpub in the Pacific Northwest, this inviting establishment welcomes guests with tantalizing beer cuisine, intimate brewery tours and, arguably, the most incredible beach patio experience around. Gaze in awe at Oregon’s largest Haystack Rock. Watch the surfers. See the sun set. Order another beer.

Top notch food and location, but the prices are pretty high for a family outing. The beer was awesome, the personal pizza was great and the kids mac and cheese was delicious and home made (no blue box crap). The location was gorgeous.

Quality and quanity are both found in this gorgeous appetizer.

Lady's, order this along with a bowl of flavorful clam chowder and you will be FULL. Guys, you also want to order this combination because you will have the correct amount of food AND have room for a second or third beer.

The cilantro is perfect and the very lite jalapeno flavor does not overpower the bay shrimp flavor. Nicely done!

It is grande on your table. Be careful not to knock it over while you are reaching for the BEST beers in all of Oregon. You'll be able to casually watch the sun set behind the mamouth haystack rock. I have photos but the website is not letting me upload them for some reason.

Bartenders Dave and Crystal are spot on with their service even during peak serving hours. I went back for seconds on my way home, it was that impressive. Oh, did I say THEY HAVE REALLY GREAT BEER??
Cheers!
Scott

Stopped here for lunch. Ordered fish and chips- $17. I asked for some cocktail sauce to go with it. When I got the bill, they had the gall to charge me $1 for the cocktail sauce. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This place has average food, mediocre service and high prices. Other than a nice location, this place is a ripoff! The manager walked by at least a dozen times and never stopped by any tables to greet customers or ask about our food or service. She never smiled! Pass this place up!

I'm not sure what's going on at this restaurant, but they've jacked up their prices! Good food, but too expensive for pub food. I believe that they think that they're the best around and can charge whatever they want. Large food portions off of the "kids" menu though. I have to admit it's nice to eat right on the beach. Just a bit pricey, that's why it's got the "$$$", but it is casual dining.

This place is my third time for this year (2012). Last visit was with my son after going on an awesome hike at Cascade Head Preserve Trail - we had clam & burgers. Very good food at Pelican. Your beer was very good!!! We stayed til the sunset in the beautiful clear evening and right temperature - not too windy.... Just a perfect evening to eat, drink and watch. Highly recommendation if you happen to think about visiting Pacific City - go eat Pelican Brewery!
