Review of Barclay House

Barclay House
Ranked #22 of 36 things to do in Oregon City
Attraction details
Reviewed June 17, 2015

We were visiting this area and noticed the Barclay House. It's part of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, and is open February through September, but Fridays & Saturdays only. We were there on a different day, so were able to see only the outside of the house. We thought it was not too impressive from the outside, but there are lovely old trees all around it.

Dr. Forbes Barclay built this house in the 1840's and it is one of only a few houses that have survived from that era. It's located next door to the better-known McLoughlin House.
