“Very informative & great displays”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

Our family was urged to stop here on our way to Oregon so we thought it would be a fun way to learn more about the area. They had wagon displays out front and inside had some amazing displays depicting life back on the Oregon Trail inside. They had a few movies and gold panning and things that we would have enjoyed although the times available didn't work for our schedule. We also didn't have time to walk the other buildings or hikes - it was a quick stop. The kids enjoyed learning about pioneer experiences but walked through quickly whereas my husband stopped to read everything and we ended up waiting for him at the exit. All in all, it was a good informative and educational stop and the family enjoyed it.

“Learning Experience”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

This center brought me back to my elementary school days. Learning about Lewis and Clark and the Oregon Trail helps me to enjoy my state even more!

“Fun and Educational!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

We came to this museum 4 years ago, and had a great experience! All of the buildings were open, and we took a nice tour. We were sad to hear that the main buildings had been closed for the past few years. The building that was open included a gift shop with Oregon trail related merchandise, fun Oregon trail related games and activities, and information on the area. We were very impressed with what they were able to do with this small space. We hope to return and visit the full museum once they get the funding back. The staff were very nice and friendly.

“Why doesn't the website tell you it's closed currently?”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Rode the train here to see the museum to find out it is closed until June?! Bummer that they don't have any information on this on their website and that I wasted a train trip for a visit. Just the gift shop is open. Ugh!

“a true look at the past”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

it's very cool to see what things were like so long ago, it's a lot of fun and a great place to take the kids, it gives them the chance to match what they read in school books to what life was like, like walking to school 5 miles in the snow with out any shoes.
