The wife and I stayed at this place due to the reviews on this site and for the fact that the local Best Western didn't accept pets. When we arrived, after some issues figuring out where it was located, we had two screaming infants, two very anxious dogs, and two worn out adults. I think, had the situation of our trip been different we would have found somewhere else...According to the reviews I thought this might be some secret gem...it is not! The rooms were fairly small but were ok for a couple and two infants. I would guess that the place was originally built in the 60s and has only been updated once...in 1978. One wall is covered in 70's wood paneling and all the other walls are painted a dingy white...the whole place smelled like cigarette smoke and that cheap carpet freshner popular in the 80's..under the windows is a sad AC unit that struggled to cool the room during the hottest part of the day. The bed while adequate, was cheap and not clean...when we pulled back the covers we found hairs from the previous guests. It took a while to convince my wife to not leave after this finding...I really didn't want to repack the car and try to find another place. The TV, microwave, and fridge were all older but seem to work...the bathroom toilet and sink were clean but the shower was dark, dirty, and stained. The shower head was clogged by hard water and calcium build up (something that was supposedly fixed according to a previous post)...I spent a year in Afghanistan with showers less scary. Also of note is the ambulance station across the street and the screaming sirens that wake you in the middle of the night...I would say the one nice thing about the place is the fenced in yard for the dogs and their pet policy. We'll not be staying again; we'll just have to be satisfied with the unforgettable memories of our children's first stay in a motel.
