My husband and I stopped in to get a bagel to take on the road when were were leaving the area this weekend. He had a toasted asiago bagel with jalepeno cream cheese. I had a jalepeno and pepperjack bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese. For both of us the first bites were delicious! But we agreed that as we ate these bagels, they would have been even better more toasted and with a little less cream cheese filling. Quite a surprise for us both to feel that way, but the cream cheese was a very light, kind of whipped kind. It was good, but not the thick type that one would think of, and the actual bagel was very light too, as compared to a regular dense bagel. Don't get me wrong, they were good and there was an abundance of flavors; bagels and fillings, from which to choose. Just don't be surprised that they are not the dense "New York" style.
