“In the shadow of this bridge”

My family and I went crabbing. It was a friendly atmosphere surrounded by people who were willing to help out the tourists. For a reasonable cost we were able to enjoy the nearby pier.

“Breathtaking!”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

We were doing a little sightseeing after a wonderful dinner at Mo's when we found ourselves crossing this exquisite Art Deco bridge. It was a perfect evening and the sun was just starting to set. We drove out into the countryside and found a wonderful place to view the bridge, watch the sunset, and take plenty of photographs. It was the kind of evening that makes you glad to be alive!

“ART DECO MEETS GOTHIC!”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

Right on U. S. Highway 101 spanning Yaquina Bay just south of Newport, Oregon, this bridge is one of the most representative and recognizable of the WPA bridges built in the 1930's by Conde McCullough. With timber pilings driven seventy feet below sea level, this bridge combines the styles of the twentieth-century Art Deco with the Gothic of the Middle Ages. Pedestrian plazas at both ends of the bridge afford viewers a safe and convenient location to appreciate and to study this structure. We have dozens of pictures from all angles and from various distances. Well worth a stop.

“Nice view”

Incredible architecture. The view was wonderful. I wish I could have gone slower to really appreciate it. So I just went back and forth over it a few times.

Beautiful historic bridge of exquisite design. Great place to take pics and views are terrific. It is beautiful with or without fog, don't miss this gem.
