Newport Belle Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #3 of 7 Newport B&B and Inns
Reviewed August 27, 2012

Our visit to Newport Belle B&B was wonderful from our arrival to our departure! Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful setting for our short notice get-away. The accomodations were delightful, clean, cozy, and comfortable! Nancy and Michael, (& their adorable Westies) wonderful hosts, make you feel a part of their family from the minute you arrive. Breakfast was wonderful, along with the views. If you love the water, then this B&B is the perfect selection for an overnight, or several nights. Walk the docks, or just a quick ride over the bridge to Historic Waterfront at Newport, OR..or a long walk on the beach at the Yaquina Lighthouse. If you want to be at the beach and out of the rat race this is the place!!!

we only stayed here one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the inn keepers (michael and nancy) were friendly and super helpful, their dogs were cute and sweet and the entire experience was very unique. the room was clean and cozy and we enjoyed other parts of the boat, as well. the solarium is an especially nice room. we got to quietly read in there while watching the sunset behind the bridge over the river. they were knowledgable about the area and referred us to great restaurants and shops. and, in the morning, breakfast was delicious. nancy made the best quiche and super delicious granola. we highly recommend the newport belle for anyone staying in newport.

I loved staying on this paddleboat. It was very unique. The boat is decorated beautifully. Our room was a nice size and very comfortable. We arrived very late and Nancy & Michael were very accommodating. I loved the view and staying right in the harbor was a very nice touch!

We enjoyed our stay on this floating B & B. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed, and our room had panoramic views of the bay. The place is quiet. The hosts were friendly and breakfast was great, it was exactly what we hoped for.

Room Tip: Stateroom 4, the Sunset Room, had panoramic views of the bay and bridge. It was very quiet even thou...

We really enjoyed our 1-night stay at this B & B on a boat. The proprietors, Nancy and Michael, were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. (And the 2 westies were adorable and quite friendly.) We have no problem recommending the Newport Belle to people who want a different B and B experience.

We spent one night here and enjoyed it very much. The bed was comfortable and the robes and eye masks were nice touches I appreciated. The room was bigger than I thought would be on a boat, so that was a nice surprise. A fun experience and delicious breakfast.

If you're looking for a unique place to stay, make your way to the Newport Belle, where not only is the "hotel" a comfortable place to stay, but the breakfasts are great and the hosts are friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We booked the upstairs pilot room that faces toward land. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated with lighthouses and other nautical elements. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. Of course, it's not a huge room, but it was plenty big for the two of us and our entourage of suitcases. A table in the corner gives you a place to have coffee or work on your laptop. You can also sit and watch the boats come in with their catches, and then watch the catches become dinner on the cutting tables. Of course, you're far enough away so if you don't want to watch the chopping in action of the daily catch, you don't have to watch. The hosts, Nancy and Michael, have two lovely dogs who offer friendly wags to guests while you get a personal tour of the boat. In the evening wine is set out for free, and beer is available for a nominal cost. Nights on the water are silent, but early in the morning you can hear the boats going out. Close your window and you won't hear the boats. Downstairs individual tables are set up for breakfast. A yummy selection of breads, fruit, rolls, coffee, and flavored coffee or tea packets await in the morning, with a hot entree served at 9. Don't miss the entree. The food is well prepared, and each day it is different. We were delighted with a salmon quiche and baked french toast. If you have any questions about the area, don't hesitate to ask Nancy or Michael. They were spot on in their restaurant recommendations.
The boat is across the bridge on the quiet side of the harbor, but you've got great views of the old harbor across the water, and it doesn't take more than a couple of minutes to cross by car back over the bridge.
Nancy and Micheal have the boat up for sale, so make sure you head to Newport for a great night's stay and a wonderful breakfast. There is plenty to do in the area, so if you can work the Newport Belle into your trip, do so before Nancy and Michael are gone.

Room Tip: Go for #5!
