“a nature lover's must see”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

The baby cormorants filled the rock surface. Several duck species were feeding in the rough waters near the rocks. A mother and young gray whale were feeding close enough to shore that we could see their backs roll the surface when we spotted the spouted water from their blow hole.

Look around in the fields at the diversity of plants in this habitat of wind and tides. I was delighted by the English Mountain Daisies blooming in the early Spring.

Several of my friends went inside the lighthouse and climbed the spiral stairs to the top. Upon descending, they were given a pin to announce their accomplishment.

The lighthouse is very picturesque architecture.

“Very Historic”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

A lighthouse in the middle of a house! Group that maintains it have done an excellent job of showing how things were there in the late 19th century.

“Amazing views, fun tide pools”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

A great natural area to visit. The tide pools are active, be sure to go only at low tide. check the tide charts and try to be there when the low tide is "negative".

“A sweet little piece from the past.”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

This lighthouse is right at the edge of town, so it it very easy to get to. It is fun to see the inside of the 'house' type of lighthouse and to be able to view the furniture that the original occupants may have had.
