The old bayfront is interesting, but a tourist trap of sorts. Many people go there and parking is a problem. There are some nice features, aquarium, Mo's, Ripley's believe or not, bayfront but it is not my favorite spot in Newport. (See my review of Nye Beach.) Taffic in that are during the season is a challenge in season, and you really should see it all once, but once is enough. Not much changing over the years.

We enjoyed walking around the bayfront area, watching the sea lions on the pier, browsing the shops, and having some ice cream. We aren't really seafood lovers so we didn't try out any of the recommended restaurants here, but have heard good things about them.

Don't miss this little town. It is so quaint and wonderful. It is like a setting in a movie. Just a few steps off the street is like entering another world looking out on the harbor and all the sights. Just amazing! I think about it often. The shops are fun and the shrimp is yummy.

It's nice to just walk up and down the bayfront. Lot's to look at, like the Sea Lion's & birds or lot's of shop's. Always something to do.

Quirky shops and a few good eateries. Nice view of the bay and the fishing boats. Ate at Local Ocean which was very good. Many of the shops are closed in the winter, but that is to be expected, I suppose.
