“Love the Tapas!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

We were searching for a snack and drink after strolling through the shops. Loved the variety of tapas to choose from - perfect for a little snack. I had the salmon pate and it was delicious. My hubby ordered the ham & cheese tapa, plus a bowl of clam chowder. The service was good. We got a table by the window and watched the boats going to and fro. The only negative thing would be that the clam chowder was served lukewarm. We didn't have time to send it back to be heated.

“Can't Beat It”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

When we visit Newport, we love Bay 839. It is hard to beat their selection of Tappas that are uniquely and originally prepared - just right portions for an enjoyable bay view luncheon. The service was great and the chef accommodated our food allergy concerns. I would be negligent, if I didn't mention they have many other items on the lunch menu - sandwiches, soups, pizza, salads, etc.

“My wife Jenn and I really enjoyed this Tapas bar and restaurant”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Jenn and I are tired of the restaurants that order there food pre-cooked and ordered from these huge food distributors. We found that Bay 839 actually took the time to cook unique dishes that could not have been pre-ordered and pre-cooked like Georgies here in Newport OR. View was beautiful of the bay. And all the tapas dishes were excellent especially the tapa taster trio and the bocadillo. Infused drinks plus the margaritas were great as well. Bay 839 deserves better than #31 out of 55 restaurants in Newport. Jenn and I enjoyed it very much.

“Great food!!!”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

You have to try the appetizers . . . dates stuffed with cheese and wrapped with thick cut bacon. Dinner was excellent!
