Dee the owner and hostess was very nice and helpful. She made our stay very nice and enjoyable. Our room was facing the water and the view was looking at the ocean and the sunsets were very nice. Our room was more then we had expected and a bargain for the price. We had not one complaint about our stay of two days. We,ll go back as we are able. Thanks to Dee and her housekeeper. First class all the way.

Room Tip: All rooms face the ocean, so you get the sunsets.

Accidentally stumbled upon Tyee Lodge while driving down Oregon coast. How lucky can you get? The introductory wine/beer service was greatly appreciated as we took our choice of rooms available during the down season of December. Rooms were immaculate and beautiful with a big window onto the distant beach. Dee gave us excellent advice about evening meal at Local Ocean Seafood during the first two weeks of Dungeness crab season. Next morning, we had an excellent breakfast and, while talking with Dee, we started planning a family reunion for next August. Looking forward to the return.

Room Tip: Rooms are all about the same on the second floor of the house. Bathrooms are identical. First two ro...

Thank you so much for your kind words. We enjoyed meeting you both and are thrilled that you stumbled upon our B&B. When you return for your reunion festivities you will notice that we have renovated the bathrooms each with unique vessel bowls, stone counter tops & floors, and fun new accents.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights just before the Labor Day weekend. Sorry it has taken us so long to write a review, Dee!! I am not a big fan of B&B's, but I LOVED this place. Dee and Doug were fabulous hosts. Perfect amount of privacy and still enjoy the company of other guests. Comfortable, not stuffy guests, hosts and furnishings made it great. Rooms had ample space. Very comfortable to be in. We stayed in the Chinook Room, which had a fire place and ocean view. The salmon quiche for breakfast and fresh baked oatmeal cookies in the afternoon were a real treat. You can't go wrong with their suggestions for restaurants either. They know what's good! There are a few that will even deliver lunch. I found this out on a rainy day that I enjoyed in the room reading a book! Beautiful location. Walking distance to Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Driving distance to great hiking in Cape Perpetua Scenic area. If we ever go back to this area we will definitely stay here again. Loved sleeping with the windows open and listening to the ocean every night!

Room Tip: Chinook Room has a great view.

This is a super bed and breakfast. The views from both the room we had and the lounge area (which is for the sole use of those staying in the B and B ) were amazing. The owners were so friendly and helpful - giving us excellent recommendations for dinner. There were a number of lovely touches such as tea and coffee always provided, homemade biscuits and even a selection of wine that you could help yourself to a glass. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire with a glass of red wine after dinner. Breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dee and Doug do a wonderful job of making guests feel right at home. Beautiful views, (we stayed in the Yaquina room), clean rooms, creative and delicious breakfasts, a very nice selection of Oregon wines (gratis), knowledgable recommendations foot sightseeing, etc.

We were not disappointed by the hosts, accommodations or the breakfast. We stayed in the Alsea room for two nights with a wonderful view of the ocean and the wind and the rain. Although there was considerable rain and wind during our stay, Dee was great as our host. She cooked us a wonderful breakfast for both of our days (French toast one morning and smoked salmon quiche the next). If you're looking to relax and catch up on your sleep/rest, this is the place! Within walking distance to the Yaquina Lighthouse (a must see while in Newport, Oregon). Although the strong wind and heavy rain kept us from walking the beach in front of the house, it is in an excellent location with great views of the ocean from any guest room.

Room Tip: No room has a bad view!
