“Savory Cafe and Bay Front Pizza”

Savory Cafe and Bay Front Pizza is the best eatery in two states! We drive from Seattle to eat at this wonderful restaurant. The pizza crust is awesome you must try it!! They have delicious appetizers and I recommend all of them, however, out two favorites are the Garlic Buds and Artichoke Pate (with homemade bread). Everything they serve is fresh and made daily! The staff is extremely friendly and the service exceeds five stars. Don't miss this wonderful place to eat!!!

“Pleasant night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2009

My daughter and I ate here when we were vacationing in Newport last week. The food was delicious (smoked salmon penne pasta and chocolate dessert). As soon as we entered we were greeted by a smiling friendly face. The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy and we enjoyed the service with a smile....and the occasional chat and comments. It was as if you were visiting good friends for a comforting meal while the rain trickled down outside. Very nice indeed. When we get back to Newport, we will be sure to return to Savory. Until then, I encourage others to visit and enjoy.

“Great restaurant, great menu, great pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2009

We are locals and Savory Cafe is one of our favorites. Not only do they have a great selection of fresh and healthy menu items, but now they serve pizza! The pizzas are wonderful, from delicious crust to a nice selections of sauces and toppings. Our favorite is Canadian bacon and fresh tomato. We sometimes get our pizza to go, or delivered, but the restaurant ambiance, staff and service makes dining in a pleasant experience as well.

“Definitely a place to go to for good food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2009

While on vacation in Oregon, we asked our hotel manager where to eat and he recommended Savory Cafe. Wow! We were in for a treat!! The food was excellent (the garlic buds are so good!) and the selection was very nice; from pizza, calzone to fish tacos and vegan! With such a selection, we had to return another night and try something else, and we were not disappointed! They have a nice wine selection, also. We enjoyed the food and the chatting with the owners, who are real, down-to-earth people. I think they enjoyed chatting with us as much as we enjoyed them, and their incredible food. If you are in Newport, Oregon, do stop and give them a try... or call for delivery.

“FABULOUS menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2009

I frequently work in Newport and just discovered this little jewel. The only problem I could see was that everything on the menu looked so wonderful it took me 15 minutes to decide! My daughter wasn't overly hungry so she ordered the "mezze plate" which was a Mediterranean treat consisting of toasted pita triangles, hummus, tabbouleh, feta, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, and a mound of kalamata olives. This ended up being more than enough food for her, and even some left over for me to snack on!

I ordered the Chipotle Bowl which was a very large bowl with brown rice, layered with black beans, loads of steamed veggies (crisp tender, just right) over the top of the beans and rice, with a layer of pico de gallo and their own special creamy chipotle sauce. Then a smattering of fresh cilantro on top. It was slightly spicy and perfect for my taste. It was delicious. I felt full after this meal, but not bloated and sick, because their food is very fresh and very healthy. Perfect for the beach when you are hungry, but still need the energy to see all of the sights!
