“One of the better places to eat in the area.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

This restaurant was recommended to us by a man we met at the Celtic Festival. We have eaten there twice now and have enjoyed it both times. The food is very good and reasonably priced and their "Happy Hour" seems very popular. Free snacks and great prices on beer. I had the cod and chips the first time and my husband ordered the steak, mushroom and ale pot pie. Both delicious! On our second visit I had the cod sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw. He had the chicken pot pie and although he said he preferred the steak pie he had the first time, it was still very good. The help staff are excellent here and you can eat inside or out in the front of the restaurant. If you come here on weekends, be sure to make reservations ahead of time as the place gets packed. Be prepared to wait in line for the toilet as I believe there are only two on the premises.

“Don't miss the salmon dip!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

This friendly neighborhood Irish pub in the Nye Beach area is very popular year-round with locals. The beer selection tends to the Irish (big surprise) but you can get some of the really wonderful Oregon microbrews as well. This review is written to highlight the surprisingly original and DELICIOUS salmon dip they feature as an appetizer and which is available in the happy hour menu at a discount. This is no boring smoked salmon concoction, but a really delicate mildly spicy dip that is a bit different and super tasty. We also had the spicy chicken tenders which compete on the capsicum scale with 'normal' bufflalo wings - at Nana's the 'real' buffalo wings apparently knock your socks off with spice.. we didn't try them. :-)

“Fantastic pot pie!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

This is a great place with wonderful comfort food! They offer local ingredients and grass fed beef and the food is hot and really fresh. The chicken pot pie is amazing! The outdoor seating is fantastic and offers a good spot for people watching in the Nye Beach area. Definitely a must for anyone staying in Newport.

“Great food! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2014 via mobile

I ordered the tuna melt, husband had the fish & chips, and a friend had the cheesesteak sandwich, all were very good! It was busy so we waited a bit but the food was worth the wait. The fish was thick and juicy cod fillets, tuna melt was so good it tasted similar to cheesy artichoke dip, rye bread was toasted crunchy and cheesy! Cheesesteak came on a soft hoagie roll lots of cheese, green peppers & onions, All came with steak fries, will be eating here again soon!!! We all left stuffed!! Thanks Nana!

“Convenient, Friendly and Good Food”

We enjoyed the atmosphere on the patio outside, splitting a Reuben with excellent corned beef on marbled rye with grainy mustard.
