Our 2 year old had a good time looking at all the animals. Several fun activities for him throughout park.

Attended the Oyster Cloyster Event at the aquarium, a benefit for the aquarium and college. Something special about sipping wine, eating fresh oysters as you stroll around the aquarium, viewing the exhibits.

My wife and I have visited the aquarium several times in the past few years. We never get tired of what it offers. This trip we took her brother. He had never been there before. Sure glad he had a camera with the ability to store over 1000 pictures on memory card. I think he used up 75% of it! Would suggest this to anyone who enjoys seeing the critters of the ocean without putting on scuba gear.

We are from Central Oregon and used to the going to the High Desert Museum. Two totally different venues and they should not be compared. BUT, we found ourselves comparing exhibits and animal habitats.

Our recommendation came from the PBS tv show Oregon Field Guide. They had mentioned the aquarium in a story we watched just before our trip to the beach. We added it to our itinerary.

We spent a bit over an hour trying to see the exhibits and felt grateful we were able to visit on a Friday and not a weekend. The aquarium was moderately crowded and at that, it was difficult to be able to read about the exhibits...as well as just watch the aquatic life.

The tunnel was fabulous and wish we could have spent more time there. THAT was the place that was crowded. I don't blame folks for congregating there. That's where we wanted to be.

We were "suckered" into spending another $20+ on photos that were taken when we arrived. That was real cheesy. Not a classy thing at all, but the photo's are presented...all printed out in several different sizes...in frames ready to go. SIGH...we bought two little ones...one for each of our offices.

Will we go back? Yes, but not for several years or a new exhibit. We would try again for a weekday.
