The Newport Aquarium was very hyped up before we got there. It was good but it wasn't as great as the guide books made out. The under water tunnels were the best part with great views of the sea life including sharks. The rest of the aquarium was okay. Overall it was pricey. If you go book tickets online in advance. We had to wait 20 minutes outside to just get in. The prepaid ticket line however had about a 30 second wait. Overall it was good to do on a cold day.

Better than expected as we had been disappointed by most attractions along the Oregon coast. This aquarium had unique wildlife, live shows, and nearly as much to see as the Vancouver aquarium, for a lower price. Visitors can walk through some of the displays with marine life on all sides, for a unique underwater experience. We enjoyed our time there and spent about 90 minutes wandering around.

The facility is very well kept and has many interesting exhibits. I wish there were more view points to watch the otters since during the feeding very few people could see, especially the children. I don't know if there is acreage they could purchase to expand, but at $18.95 for entry for something you could walk thru in a short afternoon it is extremely over priced. Then they want you to buy pictures that they took of you when you arrived! Best try to find a way to get discounted admission. Lovely place for a visit, but once is all you'll need.

Fun to see all the aquatic life and exhibits. Easy to stroll through and make the loop through all the fascinating fish, plants and aquariums. Good visit to see all that the coast holds in aquatic life. Definitely worth a visit.
