A wonderful place for a half day with the children or grandchildren. Easy to see exhibits, informative talks, hands on experiences and easy walks between habitats.

A small Aquarium but a few neat features. The best part of the Aquarium was the Touch and Learn Tide Pools; I was surprised at all the many different native sea life to touch. The volunteers were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The sea lion/otter section was good but hard to see at times, the glass was hard to see through and hard to see from above. The outside did have a Zoo feel to it. The shark walk through exhibit was good but have seen better other places. Had a very good Kid friendly Zone. There were some areas that were bear, like something educational could have been there instead of a blank wall or an empty section of the Aquarium.

Web-site claims that the Aquarium closed at 6pm but was 5pm instead, so I had an hour and 15 mins to explore the whole Aquarium in which I did expect the trials. I was never told about or saw where you take pictures as you come in, maybe because it was almost 4pm they didn’t do them that late. I was charged full price but I understand the Oregon Coast Aquarium does not receive government support and they do help rehabilitate animals native to the Oregon Coast. So I had no problem with the price and even donated to the Aquarium for future aid and received a clam shell for my donation.

Was a great hour exploring sea life at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

It is always so fun seeing how the various sea animals are doing. My friend and I were able to see the otter feeding this time and listen to the information about the otters and their habitat. The grounds are always kept so clean and there is always so much to see and do. Love watching the jellyfish. Also fun strolling through the Passages of the Deep.

I have been to many aquariums around the country and I must say this one may be the best to bring young kids. Many hands-on exhibits, thoughtful and informed docents and terrific tanks and walk through tunnels. Highly recommend.
