“Unspoiled View”

If you want a great view of the Pacific Ocean, you'd be hard pressed to beat the ones offered at this nice property along the Oregon coast. Every room comes with a perfect view of the beach and the ocean. You can leave your doors ajar and fall asleep to the sound of the waves about 100 yards away from your room. The service is good and friendly. Free wi-fi in the rooms is a nice addition, and you'll get to meet almost all the other guests while you wait for the single elevator. It doesn't matter that the elevator is so slow. If you're staying here you'll appreciate the liesurely pace. Also, some decent restaurants within a 15-minute walk. A nice addition to our stay was a beach fire and some delicious s'mores. How they got the fire started in that wind, I'll never know.

Room Tip: All rooms have essentially the same view.

We have stayed at the Elizabeth Street Inn several times. Whether just my wife and I alone, like this stay, or with our two daughters... like last time... we always love this place. The location and view are awesome & the rooms are comfortable and quiet even when there is a sold out crowd like there was when we were there.

Yeah, the elevator is kinda slow (they're adding another one this winter) but we just took the stairs.

We've stayed in all the hotels on this row.. Hallmark, Shilo... as well as the Best Western Agate Beach and others... The Elizabeth Street Inn is always our first choice and by far our favorite.

This was our first stay at this hotel. The view was fantastic. The room was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and responsive. That's why I'd rate this hotel so high.

We had some issues with the noise from people/kids walking/running up and down the halls and in the room above ours. We brought our own kids so we understood a little noise. But there was feet noise from 6AM through the late evening. I think I'd only stay here again if we could stay on the 4th floor.

The bathroom had a very slow drain and when reported to the staff they had someone take a look at it. It was better after that but not great.

Room Tip: I'd get a top floor if you can. The one issue with this is that there is currently only one ele...

We returned from 3 nights at Elizabeth Street Inn. This was our second stay and we loved it just as much this time as the last.

The room was very comfortable, nice big TV, keurig coffee maker in the room. We especially like the salt water pool and spa (that really helps me because of asthma).

We checked in and planned on staying one night and ended up staying three. The location on the beach was fantastic, close to everything and the views were breathtaking! The kids loved this hotel, staff were friendly, helpful, prices were very reasonable. Problems were dealt with quickly and problems solved. The hotel itself was nice, older, and the bathroom in our room was a little small. The only complaint was the breakfast room. Very tiny, hot and noisy . They really need air conditioning and a bigger room. Everything else was great, tea and coffee any time in the lobby, fresh cookies at 8 every night. Will be going back!!

Okay, here is a nice building right on the beach in Newport. But the hotel itself, service, appearance, staff friendliness, are no better than a worn out motel. The carpets in the common areas are terribly stained and dirty. The so-called breakfast is as bad as they get, with "egg squares" (how DO they do that, make a perfectly square scrambled egg?), gloppy gravy, and bananas so green they were nearly fluorescent. Our room was nice, clean, and with great ocean sounds all night. But for the price we likely could have found someplace a little less tired.

Room Tip: Check out the competition in the same price range.

The staff at the Inn are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything needed. As others mention in their reviews -- the comfortable bed, cozy fireplace, ocean view, open door to balcony and sound of the ocean--very clean and they seem to think of every need.

The carpets in the hallways need major cleaning--really seem odd when everything else is well cared for.

The breakfast didn't match the options in the photo displayed in the Inn. Very salty eggs, no coffee at the time we ate. Our Keorig coffee maker didn't work.

Old hair blower with little power.

Room Tip: There is no room service so it isn't terrible, but I hit the circle in error and can't get i...
