Great service and the food was delicious. The old house had such charm and was quiet cozy. We sat near a book shelf, so were able to get a few recipes!

We had two nights to spend in Newberg, and I knew we wanted to return to Recipe for dinner. We requested a table in the larger dining room, since the small room in the front felt too cramped to us the last time we were there. I had the escargot in profiteroles (again) and they were fabulous...again! I was tempted by the confit of lamb for an entree, and although the lamb was very good, I'm not sure that it was really "confit" in the true sense of the process. Nevertheless, our meal was a winner and I would return...again. The prices at this restaurant are also very reasonable for the quality of the food....we have paid much more at other local restaurants.

What a beautiful spot! The building is vintage and poses a unique classy atmosphere. We enjoyed every course thoroughly. The service was top notch. If we lived close by it would be a regular spot for sure.

We had a very nice dinner at Recipe. The food menu is interesting and the wine list is very extensive, particularly with local wines. We had selected a wine (Omero) for which we had not been able to visit the tasting room, so that was nice. Two of us ordered the lamb and were very pleased. Overall prices were reasonable and the experience was quite enjoyable.

This is a friendly, unpretentious Victorian house conversion-to-restaurant that we like a lot after two fun rainy day wine tasting events. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and made good suggestions. The food was very nice and well-presented in a casual way. We found it to be a welcoming place.
