Although certainly not an everyday restaurant, definitely worth the price for a special night out. The food choices are amazing and thoughtfully prepared. Don't know what something is? Just ask. The wait staff is great and very, very helpful. We had a party of 6 for a birthday dinner and the waiter on top of the fact that my six year old needed his dinner before ours. How thoughtful! Plan on several courses and dinner taking 2 to 3 hours - well worth every minute. Even though it is costly, dress is casual and kids are no problem. The setting is fabulous amidst the vineyard. Sit outside if it's nice. If not, inside is great too.

As guests at the Allsion, we ate breakfast at Jory daily, dined there two evenings and enjoyed a picnic basket at a nearby winery. Food overall, was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast was especially enjoyable...crab cakes Benedict was sooooo good! Only disappointments were a lack of depth in their wine cellar and a bit of a lack of inventiveness in their dinner selections. Would have enjoyed some "off the beaten path" choices in both appetizers and entrees.

The service was quite professional and the food really good. And it's great not to have to drive to eat well.

Dinner was perfect. The salad was from the Allison's own garden. The salmon was done to perfection and the wine selected by the sommelier was right on. The pace of service was just right. We were not rushed at all.

Jory is a very stylish hotel restaurant in a pretty setting. Service when my husband and I went was polished but friendly. The entrée of gnocchi in a rabbit ragu was fabulous and much more elegant and complex than it sounds, as was the dessert of soft chocolate cake (which had a centre of liquid chocolate sauce – basically what I’d call a chocolate fondant, and a really good one!). We had two very nice glasses of wine, including a really excellent local chardonnay, from a large selection. Five stars for all of that. But the scallop entrée was poor – small, not well-flavoured, and expensive for what it was. So four stars overall.
