Friendly place with a good selection of wines. Prices were good and defiantly military friendly. The wine tender was hilarious, generous with samples, and made good suggestions of places to go. Defiantly would come here again.

“It was as if I was inconveniencing them...”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

We decided to stop at Nehalem Bay Winery as we were meandering up the Oregon Coast. It was not worth the detour. Two reasons -- mediocre wine and really rude personalitiy of the woman pouring the wine. I asked the woman about the tastings and she said "we have red, whites, and fruit wines." She appeared very bothered that I was asking for more descriptions about the wine and made snide comments when asked what was included in the tastings. It was as if we were were inconveniencing the pourer for asking about their wines (that they need to sell). At some point, the woman realizing that she was coming across as stand-offish and warmed up. But it was too late for me.

With the poor atmosphere, I was really hoping that the wines made up for it. After all, why else would you go here. Both the reds and whites were watery. The fruit wines were tasty, but not enough to incentivize me to buy a bottle. In fact, I wouldn't have had a glass for free.

“Disappointing At Best”
Reviewed September 11, 2012 via mobile

Visiting the Oregon coast for a few days and noticed the sign on the highway and decided to give it a try. The place is quite rundown and in dire need of a helping hand. The tasting room is an eclectic mix of antiques, etc. The tasting room "guys" said all the vineyard operations are about 100 miles away. The wines are less than average and they have priced them as if they are double gold winners! All in all it's something to do when you're driving the coast but don't believe you will find any outstanding values here.

“Delicious fruit wines.”
Reviewed July 29, 2012 via mobile

Generous tasting, free with a purchase. The other wines are too light for my taste. The place is old and not kept the best, but the staff was friendly. Bought two bottles to enjoy during our stay watching the sun go down over the beach.

“Great rainy day fun”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

Wine tasting close to Cannon Beach, what could be better? We liked the berry and fruit wines and mead is delicious. I think it is worth the trip if you want a break from the beach.
