After camping and RVing in other states you will appreciate the Oregon State Parks which are always clean and well kept with warm free showers. This park is the same. We have the Pacific on one side and the Bay on the other. We are backed up to a dime which helps block the high wind. There is biking and hiking, beach combing and horse back riding. Our TV picked up a Portland signal. The sites are paved and have electric and water. There is a dump station on the way out of the park. Love the Oregon parks. Buoy can't go wrong.

Spent 2 nights here over Memorial Day weekend with my 72 year old mom and my dog.

The park is very clean and very quiet.
If you want the closest access to the beach, stay in section E.

The showers have good hot water and unlike Washington State Parks, the showers are FREE.
The only downside to the showers is the walking path is very uneven, and uphill. A bit challenging for wheelchairs and mobility challenged people.

The spaces are level and paved.
There are playgrounds for the kids and lots of area to ride scooters and bikes.
We will be back and next time will bring more family!!

NBSP is a large year round campground with approximately 265 sites with electricity and water. There are centrally located bathrooms and showers. There are yurts to rent and two of them are pet friendly. There is even a small paved strip to land on if you have a small plane. There are horse corrals and some trails to travel along the beach to the end of the spit. The city of Manzanita is only a couple minutes away and has everything you need, great eateries, groceries and gas. And the beach!! A great place to camp for the weekend. This place has something for everyone.

Nehalem Bay Park occupies a spit between Nehalem Bay and the ocean. Campsites are sheltered behind dunes, but the beach is extremely accessible. The sound of the waves crashing is easily heard. The campground has several different loops including one for hiker/bikers, horse lovers, yurts, and even an airport loop for fly-in campers! The roads are perfect for bicycling and there is a nice playground for children. The park is very open, with shade provided by numerous coast pine trees.

This state park is on the ocean, but it isn't known for its spectacular view like some of the other Oregon Beaches. The unique thing with Nehalem Bay State Park is that it's on a huge sand spit. The camping is in the woods, however, because the spit is heavily wooded. There are a full range of sites for tents all the way up to spots with full hookups for RVs. If you want to go cheap without roughing it, reserve a yurt for $40 a night. They are quite comfy compared to a tent. This park also has a horse camp and trails.
