We stayed in room 214 for two nights. My wife developed little red itchy bumps in multiple places and as soon as we got home she went to the doctor and they diagnosed it as scabies. The manager was very nice the grounds were well kept and the room was pretty decent looking, but getting scabies is definitely major bummer on the trip.

Room was clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Front desk staff and maids were friendly. I would recommend and stay here again. We made our reservations 2 years ago for the eclipse at an unbelievable cheap rate and they honored that price. When some hotels canceled reservations and upped theirs.

We overpacked for a short weekend so we were grateful for a downstairs room. The place is clean, the bed comfortable, and it has the amenities we needed (coffee, coffee, coffee...) Good restaraunts on both sides and not far from downtown Independence. This is our second stay here and we'll go back.

Attended wedding in the area, and stayed at the College Inn. The name had changed so we ended up in the middle of WOU. Other than that, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and somewhat updated..it's a good value

Room Tip: It's right off HWY 99W

It's fortune to one of the many owners over the last 10 years that there isn't a motel any closer than Dallas (where pets aren't allowed) because this place isn't great. Cigarette burns, ants, human and animal hairs under the sheets. If you can get past that, there are definitely places that are more disgusting. Depending on when you go, you can get the nicest staff, or the rudest.
