“Too Pet Friendly”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Stayed at this hotel in mid July of 2013. The lady who checked me in was great and friendly. I noticed a pet food bowl in the lobby which I thought was unusual. We had a 2nd floor room in the rear of the hotel. As I came up the stairs I noted a cat litter box odor in the hallway. After hitting the room, the urine smell went away and the room smelled more like cat fesces. I was tired and just wanted to sleep. Woke up the next morning and the smell was still there. Maybe these pet friendly hotels ought to have a pet free rooms in addition to non-smoking rooms. A nasty smell is a nasty smell regardless if it is cigarettes or litter box. Should have asked for a different room but it was late and the rest of family didn't care. Also the hotel seemed hard to get in and out of. Otherwise the place was clean and friendly except for the smell

Room Tip: Watch out for the upstairs room in the back of the hotel.

Affordable, clean and nicely located. We slept well and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place if you are sick of paying outrageous prices at leading hotels. The breakfast was okay except for a hard-boiled egg which tasted bad. The pool was fine, but the water was a little dirty. They need to educate the maintenance guy on how to maintain a pool because it just needed some chemicals and to have the filter run overnight. Front desk staff was very nice.

Room Tip: Front of hotel is best place to park to keep a eye on your vehicle.

Stayed here on the way home from Sacramento as I could not stay awake any longer on the road. Was looking to pay under $100 since I just needed sleep and this came close. Not as cheap as I would have liked. Hotel was almost filled to capacity. Room had a stale smell sprayed over with air freshener, I guess due to allowing pets. Room looked clean until I did my bedbug check. After peeling back a few layers of sheets what looked like fresh beard shavings appeared on about the 3rd layer. Dealbreaker. I laid a few covers over them and passed out as I really needed the sleep. Didn't bother with the free breakfast after being traumatized by the sheets. Hit the road for the 7 hour drive back to Seattle.

Room Tip: Thoroughly check your sheets upon arrival.

Not too much to say about American hotel chains. They are usually the same experience and breakfast. The two Quality Inns we stayed in our trip had very small breakfast areas. This Quality Inn breakfast was packed with people. Food and drinks ran out quickly. There was no places to sit or briefly place your plates on the counter.

Now to the room.. The towels in our room had lipstick and other stains. There was also small bugs flying in the room and the bath tub was not very clean. Signs in the parking lot warning people of vehicles break-ins did not create a good feeling. First time in Medford. There are probably nicer hotels in Medford for the same price. The rooms do have a refrigerator, free wifi, and microwave.

After 8 hours from Eastern Washington I was hoping for a quality place. It looks old and smells old. Our key cards needed to be redone before we could even get into our room. Counter services was good. There was garbage littered around the pool when my wife took the kids down. the chlorine smell was really strong according to my son. Beds were ok, noise was not bad, but there was noticeable hair in the bathroom. The breakfast room was super small and filled to capacity by one large group travelling together. They left their tables messy while we were getting our food, of which there was little by 8:00 am. Looking at the the other reviews, either I have different standards or I stayed on a really bad day, but I was not impressed at all. I've stayed in better Quality Inns though and I don't think the staff has the ability to keep up with a full hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure you get to breakfast early.

Used the rest stop coupons, for a great price in such a busy area, staff is friendly rooms are ok asked for a king bed they gave us a queen :( comfortable but small, hot weather allowed us to use the pool, really small for the size of the hotel, comp breakfast ok but room is small and fills up quick and runs out early and they close the door promptly at the listed time, close to fred meyers and food 4 less so its easy to get snacks and use the in room fridge. At night there seems to be a lot of homeless and did not like the fact that the hotel claims not responsibility for break ins to your car. Once inside hotel your safe as all the doors require key cards to get inside.
