“Even 5 minutes in this place was to long”
Reviewed June 28, 2010

My family and I come to Medford all the time and normally stay at the Courtyard, but this time wanting to save a few dollars thought we would try the Ramada.Bad idea from the minute we walked in it had a horrible smell, long scary hallways, reminde me of something out of a Stephen King Book,we checked into our room it had a bad smell of bug spray, and a view of vents on the roof, very dated,I was concerned as a mom with 2 kids the fact they didn't have locked outside doors, one of my biggest concerns were the cameras everywhere tell me what you need to view unless it's the local druggies. Not a good area. Left 5 minutes later to go to the Marriott you get what you pay for and I will pay the extra to feel safe and not feel like I did a time warp back to 1970.All I can say is yuck.

This hotel had the perfect sleeping accomodations for 3 elderly ladies in the same room. The breakfast was exceptional for a contental breakfast. The staff was right there to help those of us that had trouble with the waffle maker. It is unusual to have bagels and cream cheese at a breakfast like this. This hotel was located close to the freeway but was far enough away so there was no noise. Because the room was on the second floor, the staff helped carry the luggage up for us because there was no elevators. We would definately stay here again if we were in the area.

I stayed for two nights and feel I received excellent value for my money. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was good. The bed was very comfortable. The motel is nicely located with many nice restaraunts within a short distance. The continental breakfast is very good. The staff was very friendly and accomadating.

I expected to get what I paid for, but I was pleasantly surprised! We paid about $10 less than friends at Shilo Inn across the street. They complained about everything-how long it took to check in, the size of the room, the discomfort of the bed, etc. Our hotel, however, had a huge, cozy bed with numerous fluffy pillows, plenty of room to move about, granite countertops and showers and a nicely sized pool area. Check in was pleasant and fast, check out was the same. It was quiet, and the breakfast served was beyond expectations with waffles and sausage included! The front desk was very accomodating, and I will be staying here any time I visit the Medford area!

Pros:

Nice beds.
Very clean.
Very good breakfast.

Cons:

Moronic Front Desk
Terrible security
A pain to get in and out of the property

The Ramada isn't a bad place to stay. But God help you if you need assistance from the Front Desk.

I needed a new room key and the staffer spent ages on something that could have taken a few minutes if she had a clue about customer service and wasn't so self-absorbed.

Also, you have to drive around the parking lot of a supermarket to get there. Not a huge deal, but definitely not easy access.

There is NO security on the side doors. They are wide open all the time. So if you have security concerns of any kind, this is not the hotel for you.

While transporting grandchildren from California to our home in Oregon, we spent one nigh at the Ramada Medford & Convention Center. We had the perfect room for the five of us. We all enjoyed swimming in the big pool area (both kiddie and adult pools). It wasn't really busy at the time we were in so we had lots of room. The pool could have been a few degrees warmer, but it worked. In the morning we ALL had something we could have at the great breakfast: waffles, sausages, cereals, toast, juices, etc. We all had a good time and also had a good night's sleep. Also free internet to check email.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Ramada Convention Center in Medford. The hotel is conveniently situated close to shopping and freeway, but we weren't disturbed by any noise. The front desk attendant was very helpful and efficient, The room was clean and updated. The complimentary breakfast was terrific with a great variety to choose from. Overall we were very happy and will stay there again.
