Was stranded at Medford Airport due to weather last weekend. After an inquiry Alaska Air informed me that they had an agreement with Rogue Regency for "distressed travelers" for a flat pre tax rate of $45. Never having heard of the hotel and not being aware of the rating I was a bit nervous but had little choice since the airport was closing and my flight was not going out until 7am the next morning. The hotel provided a free shuttle to/from the airport [24 hours a day - which worked for me as I had to be back at the airport at 5:30am]; the desk staff was cordial and very accommodating; the room was well appointed and clean; the rate was very fair and I am sure below the standard rate and the food at the restaurant was delicious and a full dinner priced under $12! My stay at the Rogue Regency made a very unpleasant situation as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I would [and have] recommended this hotel to the family members that I was visiting in nearby Ashland OR.

In September we booked an event at the Rogue Regency, for 2014. But after realizing we had no idea what the accommodations were actually like. So to see for ourselves, we decided to book a date night in mid-November. While this review is in two parts, understand, management oversees the entire operation as one.
1) Rogue Regency Inn & Suites:
Arrived very early and check-in was a breeze thanks to Lacy.
The place was at capacity with several youth and adult sports teams staying there, so needless to say the staff was pushed to their limits. Several staff members were helping out in multiple capacities, front desk helping in the restaurant and restaurant staff helping the front desk, no one just standing around and all helping the guests!
We stayed in room #435, a “king mini-suite” next to the “honeymoon suite”. View of the Motel 6 parking lot & swimming pool were expected. Room was clean and amenities were as expected. The only thing lacking in the room was bottled drinking water as the faucet water was what is typical for Medford, OR. With a quick call to the front desk, bottled water was delivered, by a smiling housekeeper within 3 minutes! The only down side we found with the room was it’s location, it’s right in the middle section of the building, making the walk to and from the elevator a lengthy one and not advised for anyone with a disability. (Obviously we won’t make that mistake again) Internet connectivity was not as reliable as we would have liked, but seemed to have the best connection in the lobby area. The facility is showing its age, patched carpets, rotting fascias, etc. and yes management is aware, but it is kept clean and appealing.
2) Chadwick’s Bar / Regency Grill:
Chadwick’s atmosphere is that of a comfortable, well adorned sports bar, Jeremy the bar tender was busy so we sat at a table in the main dining area off the bar. Lisa our server was quick to recognize us and took our drink order. Soon after we met and chatted with Julie the director of food & beverage for the facilities, she made us feel very warm and assured us we hadn’t made a mistake in choosing the R.R.I.&S. for our event. Service, while slow due to the packed bar for comedy night, was excellent!! While a few mindless people were being very discourteous to the staff and entertainers, it was handled with diplomacy and tact. Seafood linguini & Thai chicken wrap, Caesar salad, fries and hot baked crab & artichoke dip where supreme. Seems as though the chef & kitchen staff are held to pretty high standards. Comedy night was a hoot, with Carl the M.C. keeping the laughter going between acts.
The following morning we had the $4.99 breakfast, basic fair, eggs, bacon and pancakes. Once again, the place was at capacity so the wait was 10+ minutes to be seated and another 5-10 before ordering. While fully understanding this, other guests cursed under their breaths and walked out. We just laughed and tried to make the staff smile. Our orders were correct, hot, delicious and a fair price, for a good hearty meal.

All in all we enjoyed our overnight getaway, as usual our interaction with the staff made the visit more special and we are so looking forward to our event at their facilities next year. Note to management, we’ll be back!

Room Tip: If you don't like a long walk on the upper floors, book a room on either end closer to the eleva...

Our family spent 3 nights at the Rogue Regency & found this hotel to be one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the staff, rooms & restaurant, it was perfection. We will be back for a longer stay in the Spring of 2014. (A special thanks to the staff!)

I was absolutely amazed at the professional, over-the-top friendly hospitality that we received at The Rogue Regency Inn. We were in town for a family emergency and the staff welcomed us with open arms and warm smiles. Our room was beautiful and we felt so comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the staff there were AMAZING! The food was incredible and could not beat the pricing! Thank you for making a difficult time a bit of a retreat for us.

The rooms were beyond dated and surprisingly dirty for such an establishment.
However, the thing that disturbed my husband and I the most, were the constant negative and crude comments coming out of the cleaning staffs'/house-keepers' mouths. There were two particularly older women (approx. in late 50's-early 60's...one was taller and wore spectacles)who were constantly cursing and talking negatively about another co-worker of theirs. It made complete sense to me as to why my room was so filthy. Clearly your staff seem to spend the majority of their time being cads rather than to take pride in their work. My husband and I were extremely by their immaturity and use of language that we will simply, NEVER return to this establishment. Sad to say, as we have been staying at the Rogue Regency two-three times a year for the last decade.

Dear Bo H,
To start, thank you for your feedback, and please let us apologize for the circumstances during your latest stay. As you noted, you've stayed here numerous times over the past decade and we truly appreciate your business. It's clear we have an issue with some staff, and we regret that this incident has soured your view of our Hotel. We can assure you though, this type of unacceptable behavior from a couple of our current employees will not be tolerated. We'd be extremely grateful if you'd be willing to speak to us about this matter. Just call the hotel (541.770.1234) and ask to speak with Brady. Thank you again.

I stayed here with a group of friends and of course expecting the best.. was very disappoined in the cleanliness of the room. The tub was not clean, there was residue of some sort left. There was hair on the bathroom floor and toilet, coffee stains on the counters, and stains on the bed skirts. My friends who stayed in a seperate room also had some complaints. Such as: The sheets were not clean and their tub also had residue left in it. The card that was left in my room had the name Janice on it, which I will also add that she was in fact VERY rude. Also my friends had heard and seen a housekeeper cursing in the hallway while walking down to breakfast. She apparently was a taller bigger blonde lady with tattoos.

Dear Guest,
We're very troubled to hear about the problems during your recent stay. This is obviously a far cry for the type experience we want so much for our customers to enjoy. Our employees (or in your case, almost all of our employees) love to see the smiles on our satisfied customers faces during and after a pleasant stay. We truly apologize for failing in that goal with you. If you'd like, and when you have the time, we'd love to talk with you about some of these issues. Just call the hotel (541.770.1234) and ask to speak with Brady.
