“nice place to stay”

Staying adjacent to an airport is always iffy but there was no noticible airport noise even tho this hotel is located right next to the airport. It is also located within 5 minutes of a shopping center area with lots of options to eat from Elmers to Red Robin as well as some local restaurants and grocery stores and has very easy access to freeways.
The staff here was friendly and efficient from checkin to checkout and readily answered any questions we had. Rooms were average size for a Marriott property and very clean as was the entire property. Beds are medium firmness. Air conditioner was a bit noisy and did have to turn off and on a lot to maintain temperature (probably because we like it very cool in the room, and it was 97 degrees outside the afternoon we arrived). The breakfast is cafeteria style, you order what you want off a board and the staff will prepare it. Breakfast food selection ranges from a yogurt parfait prepared with fresh fruit to breakfast sandwiches. The cafeteria coffee is Starbucks and priced accordingly. so if you don't like Starbucks you may have to go elsewhere. They also have snacks and dinner options. Food prices are average for a hotel and the eating area neat and clean.

I stayed here on points so cannot comment as to value of the room. Two bottles of water that we used in the room were charged to my credit card even tho there was no indication that this would be done or price list in the room. The staff promptly removed the charges when I asked them to do so.

Room Tip: we always stay on the upper floor to avoid noise from people walking overhead. Even tho we stayed i...

It's always a challenge to find a place to stay when you're unfamiliar with the city and need to shop online. This hotel cost more than other choices I had, but I'm glad I took the plunge. The room was very nice, the grounds and building were clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful even when I didn't ask but looked puzzled, they ask if they could help. This was all of them; not just one. We were in the pool area visiting and one of the staff came by to bring towels and asked if we'd like some ice water which she promptly brought. Another time I was in the lobby watching the Oregon State game with a group of other guests (it wasn't on the room TV) and one of the staff brought over some foot cushions to the group so they could really chill out. I don't know if we just got a good staff that weekend or if they are always like that.

I will stay again if I visit Medford again.

I was out in Oregon and California for work. Was needing a newer hotel, just a place to relax for the night. The Courtyard was perfect. Comfortable beds, welcoming rooms, and friendly staff. Location was incredibly convenient for the airport. Would definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm in the area.

The courtyard brand is in the middle of the Mariott line-up. As a consequence the quality of these hotels can vary quite a bit from almost unacceptable to quite good. The Medford property belongs definitely to the latter. Renovated 2 years ago, the hotel looks fresh, with very large, clean rooms. The location is quite good, close to the Interstate and reasonable restaurants within easy reach.
It is almost next to the airport, but you do not have to worry about airplane noise because especially the rooms at the front side are away from the runways and anyway there are only 10 to 15 flights per day from this airport. Actually the air conditioning unit was more of a noise maker (very loud) but it ran the room to freezing temperatures in no time. The only downside is the fact that Courtyard still has to adopt the buffet style breakfast. The silly system that you need to order and fulfilling one order might take the lone server about 5 minutes made for long waiting times even if there were few customers. Want to avoid that ? Do not take the breakfast option when booking and go to some place outside. The quality of the breakfast was fine by the way.

We stayed at the Medford Courtyard twice in July/August 2013. We had a generally pleasant experience and we recommend this hotel to our fellow travelers.

The front desk associate was really great and she was very helpful finding us a very quiet room for our return visit. We recommend the airport side of the building as it is quieter, especially if you like to leave your windows open.

We ate breakfast at the Bistro and it was pretty good. We appreciated the decent coffee. The beds in our rooms were very comfortable, so high marks for that! Unfortunately we have to take away one star for a little lack of attention to detail by housekeeping. A smelly shower curtain in our first room and greasy marks on the bed headboard in the room on our return visit.

We will, however, definitely consider staying next time we are in Medford.

Room Tip: Rooms on the airport side are quieter - less traffic noise.

Oh, the joys of a tween's softball tournament.... 6 days at a hotel to play 4 games... but I digress.

We visited this property for a softball tournament with 10 other families. (My apologies to those who stayed there when we did... team rules prevented the girls from doing bad stuff, but us parents... Yeh, that was us latenight boozing on the patio. SORRY!)

This property and their staff were outstanding. Our little family challenged every one of the staffers, be it maintenance (the dresser drawer fell out of the frame), the maids (more towels please?), restaurant (yup, another beer. oh and how about hummus and chips?!), and front desk staff (yup, lost another key), and EVERYONE was great. Again, apologies if we overwhelmed your guests with lobby takeovers!

The property is away from the downtown, next to the airport ( I heard ONE plane take off while we were there, and between-room noise was non-existent, so it's a quiet place.) but it's close to Fred Meyers, and a hop-skip-and-jump to the mall, cute downtown and other amenities.

The inside pool was surprising, but it worked because Medford was smoked-in by wildfires. The outside patio was lovely for groups to sit and chat and the lobby was SPECTACULAR for game playing, delicious breakfasts and out-of-the-room TV watching. They had charming dining booths that seated up to 6 people and had their very own TVs, plus big couches and assemblies of modern chairs. Very cool.

We utilized laundry services nightly and that was lovely. The gym is petite, maxes out at 2 people in there, I'd guess. But it wasn't busy .A crossfit box, The Den, was super close and a great workout for this mom. Free wifi that you have to renew every day. For us, with our long stay, that was a bit annoying.

They had a nice, if pricey, pantry that featured cold beer. Their small restaurant/bar closed at 10 PM. Food was very good. Try the breakfast eggwhite sandwich - yum! We had a fridge in our two-queen room.

Cool feature in their lobby I'd not seen before - a gi-normous touch screen telling news, weather, local information, etc.

Room Tip: Out of the front is the airport, out the back is an empty field. There were some rooms that seemed t...

I often fly out of Medford and live 2 1/2 hours away so this is the perfect place for a quick overnight for the 5:45 to Denver. Rooms are clean, hotel is right next to the airport, but not too noisy. The evening front desk guy was a little snippy, but the lady in the morning was very friendly and helpful. Almost no wait on the shuttle.

Dear Paulie H,

Thank you for choosing the Courtyard Medford Airport and for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your recent stay. It sounds like you have stayed with us before when flying out of Rogue Valley International Airport. I am glad you find our location clean, quiet, and convenient for your trips. I was, however, disappointed to read about your interaction with our staff. Please know that it has been addressed and I am confident it will not happen again in the future.

Again, we appreciate your feedback, and thank you for allowing us to host you before your trips. If I can be of service in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

J.B. Carney
