Ate here as a group of 3 on 8/15/13. Our waiter was new (second day, I believe he said), so some of this can be chalked up to inexperience. Also aware that the restaurant itself is pretty new, so there's that, too.

That being said, here's a brief recap of our experience:
1) Atmosphere was strange. Obviously used to be a Mexican restaurant; not much has been changed to fit the "southern" theme. No music playing (we asked if they could change that twice before they turned some on).

2) Service was slow. Took awhile to get our drinks (apparently they had to find the wine that went in our drinks). Waited a decent time for our food (nothing too terrible, but the food wasn't exactly hot when it arrived, either).

3) They were out of several food items (black-eyed peas, mac and cheese, certain fish, etc), and admittedly didn't even have the steaks that were on their menu (and offered a different cut instead). Also, we ordered a to-go meal (for my grandmother, who couldn't make it) and found when we got home that they'd given us greens instead of cornbread and no gravy with the mashed potatoes.

The food was pretty good, and the place has potential, but I think it might be wise to give them a month or so to settle into the business before eating there.

We had dinner on Saturday, 8-3-12, going in to initially check out http://www.3lbmusic.com/fr_home.cfm in Sugars Lounge.
Having gone in with relatively moderate expectations, those were dashed with the service and the first bite. Alligator Popcorn & Beer -Battered Mushrooms for appetizers, mush rooms were a little soggy but had excellent taste. Popcorn was crisp on the outside& tender inside, perfect! The menu is a little expensive but good for true southern fare for the price locally. Total for three people, with drinks, came to $88.00.
Then the Sampler Platter arrived. Baby back ribs, pulled pork (somewhat dry), beef brisket, BBQ chicken, & Louisiana hot links. It was very good, served with coleslaw, cornbread and sweet potato fries. Slaw perfect, cornbread was less sweater for our taste, but good, fries were thin cut, crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The best was yet to come, bourbon pecan pie & sweet potato pie. Pecan pie was great, but the sweet potato pie was by far the best I’ve ever had (And I’ve had many).
But the most pleasing experience was with the staff. Melissa our bartender, Lilli our server and Josephine the cook, all had warm & genuine smiles and ready to serve.
Since they’ve only been open 5 months, word has yet to get out there. But hopefully this will help. Will we be back, OH H%#L YES!

It was our first time to Hannah's in Medford. It is in the old Casa Ramos building, so it is Southern food with a bit of Mexican architecture. We had a chicken wing sampler which had 3 different types of wings... mildly spicy wing sauce, a light BBQ sauce and one with a crispy, spicy coating. All 3 were very tasty. My husband ordered the buttermilk fried chicken dinner. The chicken is moist inside, crispy outside. Very delicious. Dinners come with soup or salad, plus a choice of 3 side dishes. The soup choice of chicken and dumpling was wonderful. A small piece of cornbread, butter and honey is included. Plenty of food, but not obscene quantities. He had leftovers. I enjoyed a crab cake appetizer which came with 3 crab cakes and a sauce. The small dinner salad was fresh, crisp and the dressing had blue cheese crumbles. The service was friendly, if a bit on the slow side. We enjoyed every dish and will be back again. A nice addition to Medord's restaurant choices.
