This is our 4th stay and we are Alway Amazed! The B&B is warm & welcoming as is the host Kathie! The home, guest room, bed and linings are comfy cozy.Attention to details are apparent and appreciated. Afternoon appetizers and wine are a nice welcome and the delicious & bountiful breakfast sends us on our way full and satisfied ...looking forward to our next road trip & our stay at The WhiteHouse B&B

We were on the road from Tacoma to Bakersfield for a funeral, and we were able to book lodging for that very night! The hostess graciously altered her personal plans for the evening to meet us upon arrival. The room was exceedingly comfortable, and the tour of the home was fun and fascinating. (The red floor in the cooking and storage areas has a great backstory.)

There were plenty of choices on the breakfast menu, which we were allowed to review before bedtime. We were also allowed to choose our own eating time, which was very, very comforting.

Breakfast was close to unbelievable, and the owner was kind enough to allow my husband to cook up a pair of eggs just how I like them. (So far, he's the only one that can do it right.) The coffee cake and bacon were the best we had eaten in years.

Attractive bathroom, but no tub; shower only.

Room Tip: Only one room.

We loved staying with Cathie! Her home was gorgeous. The room was so inviting and comfortable. Cathie goes above and beyond to make guests feel at-home--loved the made-to-order breakfasts! Also, excellent recommendations for dinner and a quick glass of wine at the local winery. We were sad to have to leave so soon...

We come to the Medford area every year around crush time for wine tasting and relaxation. Though we have stayed at lovely B&Bs in Jacksonville, we kept hoping to find accomodations a little more centrally located to our activities. To our delight we found, located on a quiet, tree lined street, The White House B&B and its' most gracious host, Kathie. What you see on the website only begins to describe what this lovely home has to offer its' guests. The location is excellent for getting to all the wine tasting areas, Rogue River valley, Jacksonville and the Brit Festival. The turn of the century home has been restored but isn't fussy, just very comfortable. The single suite is nicely appointed with not only a comfy bed but a seating area (great chaise with throws for snuggling in front of the flat screen), plenty of closet space, extra blankets, ironing board, and lots of lamps. The bathroom is right outside the bedroom door and is for guests only. It is stocked with every amenity you can possibly think of. I truly appreciated the quality of the bath products provided and the fluffy towels. And, yes, Kathie's bedroom suite is also on the 2nd floor but, as she says, you never hear her come and go. One of the benefits of being the only guests is the delicious breakfast. She offers a selection of cards to peruse through with menu descriptions (located in the suite), but is totally accomodating to any dietary requests. She ran to the store to get our dark roasted coffee (for the record, we offered to get it ourselves) and ran to the local farmstand to get local peaches. This is a host who literally goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are well taken care of and, frankly, a great B&B experience is only as good as the host who truly cares about her guests. You leave her home feeling like a friend of the family and we can't wait to return.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in March. We took advantage of Cathie's two for one deal. It was a wonderful experience.

First the actual house. It is exactly like the picture on her website. It is a wonderfully restored home built in 1906. The way your accommodations are set up is a little different than a traditional B&B. Your room does not have an attached bathroom. Also the proprietoress stays on the same floor you do. At first I thought this was a bit awkward but Cathie definately gives you your space and privacy. The room is huge with a comfy bed and a flat screen and satellite TV. The blackout curtains are nice if you want to sleep in and gives you a real sense of privacy. The bathroom was remodeled and has a spa quality to it. There is also a second bedroom that is perfect for kids that is available for rent. You can come and go as you please. The location of the house is in east Medford in a well established neighborhood. The big oak trees are picturesque. There is very little traffic on the street at night, it makes for peaceful sleep.

Breakfast is tailored for you each day. If you have any special dietary requirements she can probably accommodate. Each breakfast was wonderful and yummy. Cathie's knowledge of the local area is extremely helpful planning that days excursions. We really enjoy sitting down and chatting with the owners and learning about the house and area. She accommodated us and learned about the house and being a student of architecture I found it fascinating. The coffee is poured from a French press and comes from the Good Bean. I drank at least three cups one morning. It was very relaxing, we will be back.
